Well I'm not sure I actually live close enough to go in-person (it's over 300 miles) but like you, it's my heart's desire and my husband spoils me so! We think of it as a mini-vacation. Of course he drives both ways, we stay at LaQuinta, then he sits in the parking lot and reads the newspaper or naps while I'm in class.....well, it's a mini-vacation for me! One of these days the cost of gas (& motel & food!) is going to preclude getting to go, at least every month, so I'm enjoying it while I can!

Hi everyone! I've been really slacking lately..my monthly patterns are just piling up! lol!
Sally, your placemats are cool! Perfect for summer!
I'm in the placemat mode..made my first ones to protect those tablecloth quilts and need more, so this pattern it perfect for me right now...if I can get to the sewing room! lol!
Maybe you all could just jump in a make them anyway...they'd be wonderful Christmas gifts even if you can't use them for yourself. I would NEVER have made the Twice as Nice on my own, but I decided that I would use up some of my "stash" with this BOM and it really snowballed!

Edit to add: I bought two of the Victory Fat Eighths on sale...so that is my plan to make placemats for July4th. Can't pass up a sale!! lol!

Got the placemats quilted and buttons added and here's the wee 'Freedom pinwheels' quilt. Used up one of the Fat 8ths and decided it was big enough! Should I add ric rac to border when I bind it? Still have a bit of quilting to add!

Sally, thanks for posting, I wasn't going to do either project this month, but I really like the pinwheel lap quilt. I need to make up a baby quilt (as soon as I know boy or girl) and this will be perfect.
