Chriss, this looks a fun swap. I am sorry to say that I won't be joining. Not that I do not want to, it is because of the mailing costs. Both Canada Post and USPS costs have increased, as each new year, plus the exchange rate to buy USD currency to pay for mailing back to me. It costs me around $40.00 CAD in mailing for only one swap, and the fabrics $$ is not included. It is getting way much too expensive for me.

I will be watching though and looking for pictures of your blocks. You all have fun! Enjoy!

Yvette, you are signed up. I'm glad you ae joining me and the other scrappers in this swap.

MarRose. I haven't started cutting my background fabric yet. I'm trying to cut a few color squares each evening.

Vinae, thanks for nixing the thin fabric. I have also bought garage sale fabric and then donated it to good will. I am learning to be much more selective. I am loving this block.

Valerie, I'm so glad you get to play. Hope all is well with your dad.

Denise, I am sorry you won't get to join. Crazy how postage is so expensive. you will surely be missed.

I googled bow tie quilt lay out and came up with some pictures of really cool patterns. One shows the background as dark and white bow ties. very cool.

Thanks for having fun with this swap. I sure am enjoying it.

Yvette, hooray for you joining! This is going to be a great swap.

Denise, we will certainly miss you and your beautiful blocks. But I know it has been very expensive for you to join swaps. It’s getting cost prohibitive to mail anything anymore, especially international

Word around her campfire is that we are going into town today to explore. That means quilt shop! I hope to find a pretty cream for my backGrounds. I’m anxious to start sewing some blocks together.

Good Morning Swappers

I've made 44 of these cute blocks, thus far, in a wide arrangement of colors.

How do you go about making 44 of the labels and attaching them?? That's a bunch of labels. LOL

Denise~ You are not the 1st person I have heard mention the cost of postage, Bonnie Hunter posted on her site that she can no longer accept International orders due to the postage and exchange rates. It's nuts!

Back to the sewing machine....

I say we forgo the labels. What do you think? When I receive your blocks I can just sort them. Let me know

my vote is no labels, that's a lot of labels.

I'm so sorry you won't be joining us Denise but totally understand about the postage.....that's crazy expensive!

I've got more cut out, maybe I'll get what I have cut out sewn so I know where I stand......that might be helpful ;)

I vote no labels. I Found some pretty cream today in a little quilt shop so I’ve been cutting fabric this afternoon in our trailer. And I’ve been thinking of all those labels. I’m ready now to start sewing. yippie!
