AUGUST 2014 Lotto Block - 9 Patch Block and Snowball Block - THE WINNERS ARE!!!!!!

Had a great night dumpster diving with Ysabel through Jamie's barrell looking for Springy and FUN fabrics to sew our 9-patches and Snowballs.

Now that I have my arrangements I just need to sew them together - YEA!!!

My apologize to Jacquie - YES I received your Log Cabin Blocks and they are wonderfully Fall Green colors!!! I am thrilled over my Mini Block. As soon as my wall is empty I need to put my blocks up.

Will be starting the Thread in a couple of days. Need to gather my thoughts and words In the meantime you all need to gather your Fall Prints that have Reds, Greens, Yellows colors along with TOT's of these colors as well.
Also for your lighter side would be lighter colors of the above. Darker side of creams and tans that could have fall tiny prints in them and TOT's that would be lighter than the darker side. I am trying to be very flexible as I know you will all pick out some wonderful Fall colors. Just make sure you have a obvious contrast
and a Fall Red for the center. The center represents the hearth of the home. Jacquie - No worries. Your blocks can and will be used.

Wow new gals joining. PLEASE do!!!! This is a good spot to learn to quilt blocks and ask questions. Teresa is a good teacher. One of her swaps last years christmas block was my first at getting feet wet on this forum and like a lil momma bird she took me under her wing and answered all my wormy questions LOL:)) and truthfully I really think she is younger than me:) She sure looks it in her photos:))

Ok off to bed I go to get rid of the headache I got. see you all next month:)))

Izzy - Where do you find all these FANTASTIC Cartoons. This one is PERFECT!!!!!

Had a great time tonight sewing from 2pm until 11:37pm. Lots of laughter, fabric, sandwiches, chips and a strawberry roll that Ysabel made. We both made some more block sets. She kept going BOING over my fabrics

Wonderful fabrics and Poetic Bribes. Jennie was the Hand of the Picker this month and she taught me a new way to true Random Lotto. I was giving you all tickets and putting them in a bucket for the picker to pick. She did it using the computer so it really was random and so much faster. Not as much fun though so I think I might stay with the way I was doing it but it was FUN to learn THANK JENNIE!!!!!

It was a great beginning to a new block, the snowball, this month. I don't think we have ever made before. We will have to come back to it again.

Now on to the Log Cabins!!!!!!
