Oooooo Pat - thanks for the info. Thrilled you found some cotton play time so early in the month.

Sally - I am so like you. If it weren't for my DH I don't know what I would do. He is my computer man. Very happy you have the info you need. Let me know when you mail them. Happy Stitchin'!!!!

Here's my poetic offering for this month. It's a rewrite of I Left My Heart in San Francisco, so sing it...

I sewed my hearts, now off they go-o.
Where they'll end up, I do not know.
Ter-e-sa pulls the tickets, so
The winners all will know
Another pro-ject waits to sew,
Row by row.
Our new quilts grow. We sew and se-ew.
Soon we will crow and post pho-to.
We'll all be ly-ing low,
An-ti-ci-pating
Next month's ama-zing
March lot-to1

Ok Y'all know you have got me hooked! I got to making my blocks and
ended up with a couple of extras.
Now I have six blocks now to get into the mail soon.

Next I needed to pretend I was a poet. :)

So Here Goes nothing.. . . .

February Lotto:

Fabrics of white
Fabrics of red
Visions of hearts and flowers
All through my head.

Start with a 4-patch
Then cut apart - -
No, don’t frown,
We’ll move the pieces
Right to left, then up and down.

Sewn back together, a nine patch it will be.
Look at the magic, so pretty I see.
With blocks from the North, South, East or West,
Some from over the water, but all are our BEST!
I dream of the quilt that I could win.
It will be full of LOVE, I can’t wait to begin.

Picker, oh Picker, Can I influence thee???
I really do wish that you will pick ME!!!
Tickets upon Tickets, this is my Motto:
You must have a LOT to win this LOTTO!!!

Hugs
Velda

Oh My How absolutely FABulous poetry Velda and Jodie! What delightful Poetic bribes you both posted. I am speechless at all of them. They are terrific. Who knew when we started the poetic bribes that we would unleash such talent.

I am thrilled with all the poetry that has been shared from the simple one verse to story telling. They are all such delights and have brightened up our days :)

I love how Velda put it ... "pretend". Perfect!!!!!
So remember this is only an option - you do not have to write one to join us but it sure is a lot of fun to try your hand at it and pretend to be a poet. All will be thoroughly enjoyed and more tickets to win for you. So don't be shy :) :) :)

I can't believe I got them done so early in the month. I have cupcake blocks to work on so I wanted to get these done and sent off. Teresa, I will send them tomorrow.

I was fortunate to have hearts fabric in my stash.

This was an easy block and fun to make.

Debbie - I see you are in hibernation which is giving you sew much cotton time :) :) I am thrilled you got them done so quickly but I will breathe easier when I know you have mailed your cupcakes to Vinae :):)

Mary - Your blocks are even more FABulous in person. Terrific combination!!

The pics are terrific and I better get to work making lots more of mine if I want to win this month. Now whooooooo can I bat my pretty blue eyes at to write a poem for me - LOL!!!!
Can you believe it - we are already up past 40 blocks - WooHoo will be a sweetheart of a quilt!!!!

Hi All,
I'm new to the group and want to introduce myself. I live in central Virginia, somewhat near Charlottesville. Actually, it's pretty rural here with a 30-40 minute drive to any shopping. But we have no traffic lights or fast food in Rappahannock County and do enjoy the peace. We lived in a suburb of Wash, DC for many years and I was in an active quilt guild there, but don't belong to any quilt groups now. I hadn't even heard of Color Catcher but did get some yesterday at Joann's. I'll be reading the posts and learning from you ladies. Will get to my Valentine blocks soon.

Also, I am very active with my local volunteer rescue squad and serve on the Board of Directors. I don't run calls but do so many other things required to keep an EMS squad going. It's a good way to meet neighbors and know what's going on in the community.

Look forward to getting to know all of you.

Sally
