Maybe I should change my mind and use up my 6 1yd pieces of Debbie Beaves Heirloom Lilacs that I just haven't found the right pattern for yet.

I keep coming back to this post... When you say 'nine-patch' what you mean are blocks that are variations, right? So will they be easy or complicated? I can manage traditional nine-patches, but I am not sure about tackling something with lots of pieces. But then again, since this is not a swap, I don't have to make all of the blocks -- I could just make a wall hanging instead, right? I've still got to think about this.

Hi everyone! I would love to join this mystery sew-a-long. I have lurked and followed the other mystery and been inspired & motivated by everyone's blocks. If there's an opening please count me in. I don't know what theme or colors I will use yet but I'll start looking! I've never posted a picture but I did set up a photobucket account so hopefully I'll be able to post when the time comes.

Donnacrazylady........You can do it! This is a very nice way of stretching your "block power" so to speak. And you are right, when you try a block and you are not happy with it, it is still yours to keep, no swapping.

Grandma2Davey..........Welcome! Since you have been following the last Mystery Sampler you know how much fun and the wonderful ideas we have been sharing. I especially like seeing the other color combos. I am coming around to some new things after seeing some of the blocks. Stripes were just plain taboo, but I tried one, didn't turn out very well, but I'm going to try it with different units and see. There are so many pretty border fabrics (usually in stripe pattern) that would open up my selections a little.

Live2quilt2...........I was seriously thinking about joining you with the Christmas theme. There is so many holiday fabrics out there. Although, your Lilac fabric sounds very interesting also.

Have Fun,

OK, I think I'm going to go with large florals.

I have a tub full of frogs and fishes, but 2 tubs of florals.... ROFLOL But then again I like the look of plaids. ARGH! Decisions, decisions. tehe I hope there are more Mystery Samplers in the future. I really, really enjoy using up fabrics in the 'Land of the Lost'. LOL

Deanne - who's enjoying some rain, FINALLY!

I ordered my Shabby Chic fabric last week and it should arrive tomorrow. However, Saturday I went into a new quilt store and about 40% of her fabrics are oriental. They are simply gorgeous. Man, I need to pick something and stick with it.
