Ok - I got 40 minutes in on project #5 - A new Americana wall hanging.
I'm just making from a picture - no instructions, so I did a little planning & measuring. Then started to cut out the pieces for my mini flags. Got a few of the strips sewn together. It was hard to leave it - but we're leaving town so I had to stop & pack.
Love starting a new project!

Well DH took the girls to see his parents for dinner and I got to stay home, so I got lots of work done tonight. Ok not lots but I am certainly happy about what I got done :)

I got about another 40 minutes of work on my Log Cabin and another 20 minutes in on my batik leaves. So that is a total of an hour on today's project and 45 on my #3 project.

Tomorrow I am hoping to just get in any dewing time, DH is building me a new sewing table and work area :)

Progress for 8-1-08:

#5: 1 hr. - pinned and ready for repair work.
#4: 15 min. - looked for backing in stash; found & washed.
#3: 30 min.- layered and partially pinned.
#2: 15 min. - pinned and ready to quilt
#1: 15 min. - partially pinned

Just a bit of history on #5 - it's a brown/tan EBurns Log Cabin that I made in the '90's - it's very loved and worn and my DS wanted me to repair it. So, it has a new backing(using some left over jungle fabric that I used for his curtains when he was younger (he's 27 now)) and some of the cabins need to be re-stitched. After the repair work, it needs to be quilted over the ties. Lots of work ahead on this one!

Worked on my #5 for 5 total hours today...

I made like a gazillion half square triangles for the pinwheel top and bottom borders.... the quilt pattern directions ended up with a wider rather than longer layout... and being the OCD person I am I had to have my quilt longer rather than wide... soooooo after many redos I finally came up with the right measurement to make the borders... again they are only going on the top and bottom not the sides... OPINIONS WELCOMED... They are not attached yet and I still need to get the pinwheels made for the bottom border!
