Okay Sarah - I just read your messages again. You are right if you are using the scant 1/4" and they are coming out small. If you used a full 1/4" they definitely would be too small. Okay let me think about this and hit you back. Meanwhile, if any of you ladies know - please help. See Sarah's problem is different from my problem with the block. Hers is too small and mine are too big. Has anyone else made the block?

Sarah those are really very pretty. My favorite color is red - so that is my favorite of the flowers. I have some of both the greens that you used as background. Luv all your backgrounds. The top flower, you need to switch out the green attached to the medium yellow square for floral fabric so it will look like the other flowers.

I did another sample - this time not using the scant 1/4" and it measured 14 1/2" x 14 1/2".

DJ, I thought this was going to easy. My test block measures 14 1/2" by 14 1/4". Pressing doesn't help. Back to the drawing board.

Like the greens best, but they are all wonderful. Nice job. Wish I had time for this one. These are going to be some really pretty quilts.

For everyone that dont use the scant 1/4 use a index card put the needle on the blue line that is ur 1/4 is. make sure to put something there to keep the fabric in line. when i use the index care it made it 14 1/2 14 1/2. when i use the quilter's gauge it made it to small for some reson i dont know i made block with the scant before and they trun out fine.
