There were 19 swappers....we all sent in 20 blocks...so you will get 19 blocks from swapping (that includes one of yours) then we will send you back the 'extra' one that you sent in for the person who dropped out.

Regarding the cornerstones...arg...that math is beyond me this morning. Be assured that you will get 30 cornerstones which will include at least one of yours. I cut 60 out of about 10 different fabrics so there will be a large variety to throw in the bags to make sure there is a variety. I expect that that part of the sort will be the biggest challenge. I will take photos :)

this will be very fun to see how they all end up looking

Denise love your label I ned to do that for this one too

Thanks for the compliments for the label.

Oh my... yes of course. Sorry, I forgot to mention that the printable fabric is available here on QIAD. Here's the link for it.

If someone needs my extra block they can have it. I can always make more.

Okay, Gals!

I received CindyB's blocks and charms this morning, and they are super-darling! Sewcarolyn and I will be sorting tomorrow, and hope to ship home to you on Friday.

Here's the scoop: #15 on our list, agoldencomet, is totally missing in action. We have to assume she is no longer a participant. Therefore, since each of you sent in 20 blocks but we now only have 19 people, you will be getting one block from each of the 19 people who sent them in (one will be your own), and an extra one of your own back.

As for the charm squares, the idea is to get a variety back. Each of you will receive 30 squares back. At least one of these will be your own, but you will receive some duplicates. Since there do happen to be duplicate fabrics amongst the ones sent in, you would have had some duplicates anyway. I envision Sewcarolyn and I sorting these out somewhat the same way one deals cards. We will simply "deal out" the charms onto 19 equal stacks of 30, going around to each stack one at a time the way we would if you were all here sitting around a giant card table with us. We wish you were!!! What a party we'd have! Anyway, I assure you that the charms will be split up equally. Use the charms as cornerstones, or in some other project, as you wish.

Denise - Thanks for the explanation of the label. It's terrific, and I think I'd really like to attempt it for this particular quilt. I want to have a record of all my friends who helped make this such a delicious swap!!!

Hugs to all!

I just got an idea, don't know what you'll all think of it...

I know some of you collect "orphan blocks" and make quilt for donations. How about giving our extra block so comfort donation quilts can be made for children?

Like I mentionned previously, I don't mind getting only 19 blocks. I can still make me an extra one.
