Yippie!!! Oh, ladies, this is so much fun!!!
When I did the last one, I tried some different techniques, like mitering corners (yeah, I had to practice some on that one!) and the folded border thingie (I did that on Leetac's)...
I'm excited about this one, too!

Wasn't there someone who didn't return the Christmas Round Robin? Makes me skittish. Was there one or more than one that didn't get returned? Amie

Everyone must be prepared for things to happen because sometimes things do go wrong but it is not the norm. The two last round robins there have been problems along the way but that is one of the chances you take. Take a lesson from these incidences and do your best to not let it happen in your group.
Please, everyone, remember that the center medallions were made with love and the owner's trust that those in each group will do their best to add their share and send it on. Keep in touch with your group and do not be afraid or embarassed to withdraw if you are unable to do your part. There are always others that are willing to take on your share if you are unable to complete your round. There is also the option of sending the fabrics on to the owner and letting them add your round themselves. This has been the arrangement in the past when things got difficult for an individual and it was not a problem.
Having been the hostess of the holiday round robin I feel saddened by the fact that there have been these issues but we must not judge our fellow quilter. I ask you all to pray that whatever prevented them from completing their commitment will pass and that all will work out for everyone.

Re: new round robin for spring
Oh, I am so excited, I just came up with an idea for my medallion.
DD#3 gave me 2008 Block & Pattern-a-day Calendar for Christmas and I started on my first blocks today. I was placing my first blocks on the table and I realized that these would be perfect for my Spring Round Robin. When I finish up the center medallion I will post a picture.
When do we get started sending them out?
Ann

Re: new round robin for spring
I got a PM from GQ earlier this week. She said she'd be working on it this week but I haven't heard back from her about it yet. But it should be soon.
I hope everyone is working on their centers so we'll all be set to go when the lists do come out. I am very excited about this! But I will be on a tight schedule before my surgery so I hope I can get at least one round done before then, then DD can help me after.

Re: new round robin for spring
Caroline,
A round robin works like this: A group of people, usually 4 or 5, each makes a center madallion. In this case, the center will be between 10 and 14 inches (I think that's what we decided). Then each person in the group mails the center to the next person on the list. They add a round, meaning a border, then send it to the next person. Each border should be a diffeerent techinque the the one before. For example, if I piece a boder, the next could do applique. When each person has worked on each quilt it is sent back to the person who made the center. It's a lot of fun and it challanges people to work with different colors then they normally might and maybe use different techniques then they usually work with.
