Lori - I totally agree with you but MaryRose figured the blocks would be 3.5". I made the blocks that size but found out they would be to big for a12.5" block so instead of taking them apart I trimmed off .25" on all sides and added 7.5" triangles on the corners. So all is good and glad you like them :)

My Lotto blocks are done!

Will get them in the mail this week! A little blurry, since I took the picture with my cell phone!

Hi Lori64 -
This is a perfect block to get your (sewing) feet wet in your first lotto. As long as I can put my 12.5" ruler on the block and square it up to 12.5" you are good to go!!!

You can make 2 of these or if you have other festive July 4th fabrics you want to share feel free to use the same pattern.

Great start to a FABulous friendship with the Lotto Family!!!

Thanks. The first one was too small. A little adjustment and this one is too big. I feel like I'm in a fairy tale. LOL I was going to make another one or 2. Getting used to a new machine. We'll be gone for a week so I only have today left. I'll get them in the mail to you later this week.

I now have 2 of 4 blocks completed. Photo bucket is not allowing me access so I can't post a pic yet. I'm not sure what the problem is.

Well ....... I finally made a block that was going to be the right size......made it oversize just to be sure....then.......want to guess what idiot me did..........😱

I was going to trim it to 12 1/2 and goofed and cut the same side twice.......grrrrrrrrr.....
I am so mad at myself......so yet again I Have an ODD shaped block.

So Teresa.....don't count me out.....its a matter of pride now.......I may only get one done but I will keep trying. Have to wash some more fabric now. How many days left???

Lori64- New machine? How wonderful!! What a FABulous way to get her moving. Did you name her yet? Let me know when you mail your package with the tracking number so I can watch for it.

Joyce it seems many of us have been in this spot this month. Good thing next month is Christmas month!! I don't see it as pride I see it as tenacity. Sticking with it and not giving up. YEA for you and YEA for all of us. We are definitely learning :) :)

MaryRose - Delightful news!!! I think you have my email address so if you can send them to me and I will post the pics :) :)

Just found out that First Class shipping now comes with tracking and gets there just about the same day as priority. Blocks need to be here by the last day of the month.

Happy Stitching!!!
