19. Personal info...I'm now 67 & retired from 18 years of day care. Three years ago I moved from Long Island to Massachusetts & bought the perfect house for me!

I am a grandmother 5 times but raising one of them. I am a nurse who is currently doing home care. I have worked with the elderly my whole career and find them quite fascinating. You can learn so much from them. I started quilting in 2005 when my mother passed away to keep me busy. I have been hooked ever since. I hope to retire in 5 or so years when DGS is done with his first 4 years of college.

(meg and charlie have been in arizona for 6 months and he will be stationed in savannah ga after the first of the year.) I am a 50 year old, recently remarried, mother of three grown boys (who live back in NY state). I moved to CA to marry my sweetheart last year and am so incredibly happy! I work nights as a hospice home care nurse and LOVE my job. On weekends I play medieval dress-up with the SCA and my name is Lady Ysabelle Reynald. I love to try all kinds of crafts/arts, the messier the better! I love bright crazy colored fabric and wild prints. I am learning to slow down and hone my quilting skills. I learned to sew at age 12 from my Mother who is my very best friend. She is an amazing quilter and at age 78, sews every single day. I suffer from depression and anxiety, which is mostly controlled for now, but it rears its head at the oddest times. I want to learn raw edge quilting and freemotion on my sewing machine. I am also learning English Paper piecing.
