OK Teresa I so wanted to do this swap that I found a pattern from my BOM on Craftsy, if its acceptable I can take it with me to work on? Its called "Wonky 5-Sided Log Cabin" It works for me their are on paints to match. This is what it looks like but I'll do it in Christmas prints. Martha

I want to join the swap!

I have never done a swap before, but I really kicked myself for not joining last year. The photos of the resulting quilts are wonderful!

I will make My Mother's (Christmas) Apron.

My Mother's Apron is from Eleanor's online BOM this year. I made it in the 6 1/2 inch version and really enjoyed making it. There is a 12 1/2 inch version as well. I figured that I should pick a block that I enjoying make since I am making 20 blocks!

I have my fabric picked out and will wash it today. Turns out that I was able to select facbric from my stash. My DH and I own a Christmas Tree farm so I tend to collect Christmas fabric.

Really looking forward to this!

April

I haven't started cutting or sewing yet. Must buy fabric. I did use EQ7 yesterday to design my block. I was very successful. It will be a friendship star on top of a wreath. Drat! I know what fabric I want to use. What are the chances I will find it?
On track for now

Mary,

Your block is beautiful. The best part is....I don't think it matters which way they face because each block will be different.

Boy, I better get a move on....I don't even have my fabric yet!

Mary - Perfect Block!!!! Doesn't matter which way it goes. That is the beauty of it. Glad I didn't have to twist your arm to hard :) :)

WELCOME APRIL!!!! I love My Mother's Apron Block. I had lots of fun making it for the BOM so I can't wait to see it in Christmas colors :) You are sew right. You need to find one you really like to make 20 of them :) :)

Sharon - You have me sew intrigued. I can't wait to see your block. I have tried to master EQ6 but not getting to far. Which I lived closer to you :)

I have decided to make the SnowGlobe Block that I made last year for a different swap or I might make the Christmas Block 2003 from Quilters cache. I need to do a test block first on that one :)

*** I opened up the Dresdan Plate Block to anyone.
