Re: Resolution/UFO Club
Thanks for the clarification on Cotton Pals! I feel better. I thought that I was behind.
My DH says that I shouldn't count finishing anything before 2012 as keeping a New Year's resolution. I guess that he does have me on a technicality, but I am still glad that I finished it. My DD loved it! That is what counts.

Re: Resolution/UFO Club
OK ladies - here's my list. I wonder if I should link in my UFO list - it probably has to be on a WWW server - hmmm. I like the fact we can add to it - I was trying to be perfect, which is what gets me into so much trouble anyway. So here it is, in its imperfect status:
1. Set up an Excel spreadsheet, assigning a room a month for dejunking. And then DO it!
Edit: Updated to assign the quilting studio and the game room to January.
2. Update list of UFOs. Assign a month for each UFO and then DO it!
3. Make the Christmas gift list for 2012 and start sewing.
4 Exercise for 30 minutes a day five days a week. This can be bike
riding, walking or Wi-ing.
Off to find a site to upload my UFO list. I already feel energized!

Re: Resolution/UFO Club
Here is my first update:
#1 - I will pick one room of the house per month to totally go through.
January is the month of the bedroom. This may invovle doing ALL of my laundry, putting everything away, rearranging dressers, taking down the dumb idea of using a space wasting display shelves from a store, putting up more book cases, taking stuff out of all my AND DH's boxes, puttting a chair in there for a reading area, figuring out a different bed, removing the nails hanging from the ceiling(from where a wall used to be), and running a couple electrical outlets.
#2 - I will finish DB's Christmas present.
#3 - I will finish the civil war quilt. (Setting is designed - currently need 4 more blocks, borders, quilting, and binding.)
#4 - I will do at least 2 blocks per month for BOM.
#5 - I will finish the two comfort quilts I have mostly done, and will do at least 2 more this year.
Am adding a resolution for 2012:
#6 - I will develop a list of all my UFO's.
Happy NEW YEAR! Pam

Re: Resolution/UFO Club
And here's my first update...
For the dejunking, I've decided to start in the basement and work my way up. For January, I will be bringing order to my quilting studio, which also means reorganizing my fabric stash and my UFOs. EUGH! The game room will also be on the agenda, but it should be quick.
Tonight I took everything out of the fridge, washed it down and put back all the good stuff. Took a couple of hours, but was worth it!
I think I'll take pictures to keep me motivated! Too bad I didn't snap a pic of the ice box 'before' - y'all might have called in the health department.

Re: Resolution/UFO Club
Here's my update: Chriss-mas top and AB are being quilted and I'm over 1/2 way done with the purple log cabin top...ran into a snag today but it was a good snag
) DD and Jaz came out and Jaz got to spend the night so I put the top to the side to get in some snuggle time
) I think after I finish the purple top that I'll go for the Lodge swap top then to the McSherry reunion quilt....I just can't decide if I want to do the AB on here or a different one....... hmmm

Corning - Great job on keeping the resolutions! Ita all about 1 day at a time!
Womster - very brave of you to take a pix of your fridge! That is something I need to do to!
Tina - Sounds to me like you've got a handle on your ufo's/resolutions!
Keep up the great work ladies! Together we can do it!
I got my back porch straightened out this last weekend, got all the fabric put back after my Christmas quilting. So now I can start fresh. Also realized that I really don't need to buy any more fabric, at least for a while now. So that is one of my resolutions, to not buy any more books/magazines & fabric! The only exception will be backing fabric!
