Making good progress...work has been busy so I can only sew on weekends and you know how busy those can be! Having fun with my block!

Here's my update on the swap blocks. I have almost all of them cut out, and a few of them sewn together. They are on hold for a little while though because up I have a couple of quilts I need to get together right now. I promise they will be at Teresa's house before the due date, just not for at least a couple of weeks.

Vinae - I agree. The blocks look lovely. When I recieve some more I should start putting them around the fireplace (Design Wall) so you all can get a glimps of them. I know they will be more spectacular when you all see them in person. Feel free to visit my house anytime:)

April - You and me both. I have 5 cut out and half stitched while working on the halloween blocks. I know we will make it! Can you hear me cheering!!!!

Sooz - Very glad that you are having FUN with your block! I used to know how busy weekends could be - Now all my days are busy doing one thing or another. It is true what they say about retirement - you really are busier

I am such a hard taskmaster but at least the work will be delightful!!!! Audrey just couldn't keep up with me. I felt so bad trading her in

Denise - Your block arrived and they are just FABulous! I love the birds. I read that Blue Jays can symbolize a variety of emotions and traits. They are symbols of determination and intelligence, of curiosity and clarity and of assertiveness and faithfulness. I also see your strength of heart. I hope finishing your blocks gave you much comfort and peace. Joan is right. This will be a special quilt.

Joyce - Your blocks also arrived and I love the colors and Fabric choices as well. They fit the pattern perfectly Yes I agree with you. We are all very happy to have Denise's blocks with us this year. Thank you for the extra to help with shipping. Very much appreciated

WOW - WOW - WOW!!! Joan is quick and such a blessing. Thanks to you all getting your blocks to her quickly she is now almost finished piecing the top. I am in AWE and can't wait to see it. Anticipation mounts! I know she will tell me when she mails it.

Some were not able to meet the deadline so I let them know to mail their blocks to me and I would add them to the back so DO NOT delay if you want to add a block.

I cant wait to see it too. Please post a pic:)) I finished last years quilt and will post pic soon. Took it off Queen Bizzy yesterday and did the binding:))) Its so beautiful:)) cant wait to do this one all the blocks are stunning so far:))

YEA!!! I am sitting on the edge of my seat!!! I will take pictures of the quilt after I finish it but will not post it until after Denise has received it. I do believe she also knows how to post pictures so if she does we will leave the honor to her unless she says otherwise.

Best get busy I think I can finish the quilt on the frame and then a Cancer quilt while this one travels.
