Re: Autograph block Exchange Copied and Pasted Here
gp, since you are the 'queen' and have been doing scrapbooking/stamping for forever, could you please post here if I wanted to get a stamp for my blocks what type I should get and what type of 'ink'........remembering I don't want to spend a fortune and I refuse to get sucked into another hobby!
Thanks!
Thanks!

Tiggersmom, first off, I MUST sleep in my crown, how else would I rest peacefully???!!! DH can just get himself a football helmet if it's a problem for him! LOL! OMG, can you just imagine that???!!!
Ok, get a Fabrico ink pad and re-inker. They're hard to find in stores, and the source I use is www.rubberd.com. This place also sells the Fabrico pens. Be sure to get the re-inker or you'll end up with a dry pad and can't find the re-inkers, so save yourself the grief. Stamps, choose deeply etched ones. The real detailed ones don't stamp as well on fabric. You can color your stamped image with the Fabrico markers if you want, or just stamp and leave it plain. Iron freezer paper on the back of your fabric before you stamp, and heat set it front and back after you've stamped. I have more rubber stamps than I do fabric, after collecting them for years, so I love to make my own quilt labels. So, now you've gotten the ROYAL stamping "low down"! LOL! Everytime I irk my DH or my sons they threaten to put all my fabric and rubberstamps on e-bay, and my granddaughter and I live in fear they're really going to do it. Last time the grandmonkey was here she told DH, "Papa, please don't put Big Mama's fabric or stamps on e-bay because she told me they'll be mine one day and I sure don't want you to sell them!" LOL! She's got him wrapped around her little finger so bad that I guess I don't need to worry! LOL

Tiggersmom I know what you mean about getting sucked into another hobby. I have to make myself walk away. I see something cute and want to do until I realize I have many outstanding projects waiting at home for me. lol

Thanks for the info. I'll check locally and if I can't get anything I will do the internet.
I was just thinkin' .....I have 2 embroidery machines, why don't I just use them??? but I don't think they have a 'cat's paw print'. LOL Like it is really gonna make a difference!

Oh my gosh, this is too funny. I just read Tiggermom's message and realized Tigger is a cat. All this time I though Tigger was her human son! Had decided it must be a nick name or something as no mother in her right mind would name her son Tigger. I need some time off. Had a good time with astitchintime today and maybe that is why I can figure it out tonight!
A Friend is God's way of making sure we never walk alone!

that is when I figured it out that tiger was a cat when I saw teh picture - before that I had a picture of a sweet little boy in a cub scout uniform and a baseball mit on his hand
