Velda - Great book this is for sure!! Happy to know you have it. Have you down for that block in the new year I wish I could find the directions for the block on the left side of the page. Would LOVE to make at least one of those. I don't think I would make a quilt full of them though.

The antique version of the "peony" is quite different. They are smaller blooms and more leaves. I bet that it is also 16" or 18" blocks. I actually think I like EL's version better. And of course I dearly love her quick methods. .

Katy. Make sure you don't overdo it. Take care of you first. It's awful to be sick and we always make the worst patients or is that husbands.

Velda. You could be right about the block size. We have made the Peony block before a while ago but it will be nice to make it again. Looking for names of other blocks we haven't made before like the Tennessee Waltz. Some of the less obvious ones. I do love her patterns and techniques.

OMG LOL no I have 50 squares LOL so 10 sets. I had a blond moment. I had to reread the directions to put 5 different fabrics in sets. hee hee. So I have 10 sets all tucked in envelope to go to post in morning:)

I've always wanted to do a mariners compass block. Don't know it I will get to that this year, but I definitely want to make one of the Anita Goodesign quilts this year.
