I did the same as Chriss. ... I'm out of practice. ... mine is traced on my fusible backwards. ... remember to trace the back of your Sue and use that side for tracing your fusible so when she's fused on fabric she's facing the right way. Back to the beginning for me LOL

Hi all, I have nearly all of my pieces cut out, (20) and I've just ordered some more pale blue backing fabric...
How many ladies do we have in the swap? (at the moment) Any idea?

I have re-fused 10 Sues and will cut them out during my breaks at work.

So smart to turn the pattern over. duh,

I have 2 more sections to trace on my fusible. My fabrics are washed, just need to press then fuse to the fabrics and get them cut out. Once I get the pieces fused down I can also take mine to work with me to cut out during lunches.

This might help with the tracing. During the last swap, I traced my pattern onto a piece of computer paper. Then I turned it over and held it up to a window (lightbox if you have one, sliding glass door, whatever), and traced the lines with a Sharpie. then I marked that side as the RIGHT SIDE and the original side as the WRONG SIDE. It's easier to work with a flat piece of paper than trying to trace from the book directly. I ruined many blocks before I worked out this method.

That's what I did also Mary but I had to mark mine tracing side. My mind can confuse me in a heartbeat - LOL!!

I have my background blue cut out, the doll tracings finished and part of Sue. Coming along nicely.

When I made one backwards, I added some fabrics and turned it into a placemat for Mom. She loves it. My block last time was Japan, and we used to have tea in the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. My dad sent us dolls from Japan in the late 40s and early 50s.
