Robert Kaufman's 10" Holiday Flourish Christmas Traditions by Peggy Toole I think there are 40 of these.
17 Holiday Flourish Christmas Lights Fat Quarters
5" Winter Elegance by Sentimental Studios
I've found that the 10" squares are the way to go... except you don't have long strips, but I was able to get 2 sets of 5" squares and 2 sets of 2 1/2" strips, 10" long, which is plenty long enough for what we are doing.
I haven't found any that are wonky, but you can really tell that they weren't all cut by the same person. Some barely hit the 10" mark. The fat quarters needed squared up on the end.
I just love these, but they are so elegant. I love the elegance, but I really like those Christmasy ones too, like Shelly's. To me, that's Christmas! I really wish I had gotten some of those. Mixed with the Santas and candy canes, it will make a true variety. They will all be beautiful. No one is going to notice each individual strip. I had 4 Christmas fabrics of my own, one is a light blue with white dots, one is a Christmas green trees with snow, and 1 turquoisey swirlies and the other light blue with snowflakes. They also are Robert Kaufman's. None of the purchased fabrics (well, they ALL are purchased) have any blues, Christmas greens, whites or turquoises. Their greens are darker, like pine and the lights are creams with gold. So, I don't think I'll incorporate my brighter fabrics into the strip-squares I make for the lotto, but I may send some of the strips for the extra tickets.
I almost wish we didn't have to do anything but make the strip sets, then one could add some of the traditional greens, reds and whites to the one side and golds, burgandies and pine greens to the other. But, like I said earlier... they will all be gorgeous quilts. I can't worry about that. Too much other stuff going on in my life to let THIS bug me. lol. My daughter's boyfriend just left her and she's nearly suicidal. She swears she isn't and wouldn't, but even the most beautiful, successful, talented, intelligent and wonderful people can just snap and do something terrible. I loved this guy, but not for her. Constant arguing. We loved him but his folks didn't like her. I hope he doesn't come back again... but you know those bad pennies. lol.
Anyway, back to my cutting table and to work!!
Edited to add: Hooray! Mainely me has gorgeous, elegant, Victorian kind of fabrics! There will be a lot of different colored and printed ones. That's what's best about a patchwork quilt! That and getting new friends' favorites.
I see that the How the Grinch Stole Christmas quilt from Missouri Star quilting Co. tutorial has that shade of turquoise blue. I'm seeing a lot of it in different fabric lines.

Is there an address we should know? lol.
Edited to add: How does this lotto work? Is there only 1 winner or 2? Or more? Or does it depend on how many blocks you receive? Just wondering.

Joanne - I PM'd you my address.
I loved reading about your FABulous Christmas Treasures. I know they will make some Beautiful Christmas blocks. I love Victorian colors but I also love Nancy Halverson's as well!!!! So many to choose from. Can't wait to see your festive blocks and thank you for all the questions - LOVE IT!!!!
The more blocks I receive will determine the number of winners. We have 2 winners all the way up to 5 one month. The more the merrier!!!

did anyone else have trouble getting these darned things to look square? They look wonderful on point, but a little wonky otherwise. I'm a little disappointed. I used my 1/4" foot on all, so that shouldn't have been a problem. I guess I didn't measure every strip to see if it was exactly 2 1/2", so perhaps that was my problem, ...
well, when whoever the lucky winner gets these and squares them up, I assume they will then be square, but perhaps 3" squares. lol. I'm kidding. And we aren't supposed to take the rabbit ears off of them. Right?
And, mine didn't come out 8 3/4 or whatever you said... it's about 8 1/2" though. Is that going to be a problem?
I made 3 sets of the 4 strip blocks and 2 sets of the 5 strip blocks and this fabric is beautiful. A lot of black though, not much green, a lot of gold and a lot of reds. I didn't get all my fat quarters cut. I was too anxious to get to it and see them.
Hopefully my DH will take these to the p.o. in the a.m. and get them sent off for me. Thanks for the address.
OH! And 7 "pick me" strips. 2 that are selvage to selvage and 5 (10 pcs.) different fat quarters. I'm gonna get a lot of tickets! Now if I could just come up with a poem! lol.

i found the best thing to do was to 'square up' at every stage... measure then square up all the way along... even when you join your long strips together at the beginning, measure then square up... it really helped with the look of the blocks, and getting everything right...
have a try, with a new one... you could make a cushion like the one i did lol...

xxx
p.s, it depends how many blocks get sent in as to how many winners, just 'pm' 'teresak' for an address...
happy sewing!!!

Didn't get them boxed up or to the post office so I'm going to make new ones to replace those. I wouldn't want to send anything inferior, and the good Lord knows I have plenty of fabrics. lol. I am definitely going to be measuring and squaring all the way, as suggested, and I will probably make a pillow like yours. It was beautiful and my #4 dd loves holidays and pillows! I know your dd will love hers too. Did you use a pillow form or stuff it?
You know, these would make pretty placemats, or pockets on a Christmas apron.

I have my strips ready to sew. I have to sew the binding on a twin quilt before I can sew.
