Does anyone have an extra block or two? Update Good News

Good Evening you angels sent from heaven,

Keeping track the best I can I have PM'd each of you that I have received blocks from. If you did not receive a PM and you have sent please let me know so I can keep an eye out for them. The mailman is leaving them everywhere BUT the mailbox. UGH - I have found them on the front porch other days inbetween the front doors and even to the side of the garage....We are expected to get 10" of snow tonight so if any are in the mail tomorrow he will measure a 30ft path to the box if it is not 30ft he will not deliver mail....

Oh well enough about that today's update:
The drs inserted the tubes this morning and I was told that Cheyanne moved her arm a bit while this was going on. We are all praying this is a good sign. We keep telling ourselves this will be a "baby step" process but I sure wish there was more improvement to tell you all about.

Our group of angels has grown so that we will not fit into the LQS classroom for our quilting day. I got brave today and asked the VP of our company if we could use one of the training rooms at work (we have the week between xmas and new years off so no one will be working) He said YES.....YEEPEE!!! This is a very large room with nice long tables and lots of them.....so all the ladies are giving up one vacation day to come into the facility and bring sewing machines and irons, ironing boards and all the notions, plus a dish to pass (quilters get hungery)!!!! This has helped us greatly that he offered this to us. I just wish you could all be there with us. You have all become known as the "El's Angels for Cheyanne" in our facility. You are all being talked about and loved so much I just wish you could hear all the wonderful things people are saying about you. I have decided that I am going to print off this blog in full and make a scrapbook of all the good wishes to give to Cheyanne's Mom when we tell her about the quilts.

What a great thing for your boss to do, there are really wonderful people out there.

Every little bit of positive news is uplifting. May our dear Lord hold this little angel in His loving arms and heal her. Good Afternoon Ladies

I was trying so hard to hold off the last couple of days giving an update as I so wanted to give you positive news. It appears as though this will continue to be a struggle for Cheyanne and her family. The drs. inserted the tubes she needed but then she developed 3 different internal infections. She is still on life support and the days are getting tougher for the family. They are even being informed of what this might mean to have to bring her home in her present state. Please may I continue to ask for prayers for this family - it just isn't a good thing right now.

Thanks again for everyone that has sent blocks. I will be sending PM's tonight to thank you individually as I am at work right now and need to get back to the task at hand.

Ladies a tiny bit of good news for Cheyanne - the doctors are trying to wean her off of the ventilator. She has done 1/2 hour time frames also she is showing signs of feeling. Her Mom was tickling the bottoms of her feet yesterday and she appeared to have felt it by a little twitch. She is showing some more eye and hand movement. Yes little baby steps I know but good news none the less. Tonight I made posters for our work place to ask all to come and help us put together all of your beautiful blocks and finish tops we received. SWAKINS - thank you for the great card we used your card as our coloful quilt to advertise our gathering. Wish you could all be with us. But I am putting together a scrap book of all your posts and prayers and will have it with me that day for the local ladies to sign and so in a way you all will be there. On Dec 30 from 9am to 4pm do a little sewing and pretend you are here with us quilting comfort for a family in need. Again ladies I can't thank you enough for your encouraging words, prayers and kind hearts in offering to help out with this project. May God continue to bless you all
