Thank You Joel for joining us. Yeah! Lowell will be pleased to know that there will now be 2 men in this swap.

Joel I am going to make another quilt using this pattern using all diff. colors & patterns of fabric for my family to sign when we have special get togethers. Will give them 1 color of pen to use for signing one year or event, another color of pen at the next & so on. It will end up being a large quilt but what the hey! I really enjoy this simple, mindless block. It would also be a good quilt to have for a wedding reception, graduation party, baby shower, anniversary party, etc.

Kadie I love ya you funny gal. LOL Welllllll they are ALMOST mindless after you have made a gazillion of them. LOL Made some for a friend to make a quilt for a Retirement party & was asked to do a quilt top of these for a baby shower after Christmas, but we'll see about that. LOL Can't tell you how many times I got to zipping along going great guns and realized I sew a triangle on wrong. LOL I got real friendly with my new seam ripper. LOL

Welcome Joel, I'm glad you decided to join us! Maybe after Christmas we'll do another one of these exchanges with a differnt color choice. Wouldn't it be fun to do one with just two colors and muslin? Everyone pick two fabrics they like, maybe with say blue and yellow, and just see what comes in? Just a thought... :)

That would be nice I would love to see us to a big one not just a lap one but a full size. That is a great Idea about using different fabric. and maybe a different pattern. what do you think?

Slow down, please! :) How about if we wait to start this after Christmas? I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment and I think a bit of a breather is in order. Maybe start choosing colors and signing up on January 7th? That should give us time to get back on our feet after Christmas and New Years. And go through our stashes to see what colors we have the most of, then maybe vote on what colors we all have a lot of to use for this quilt. It'd be really great if we could do this without buying new fabric but using some of our stash, IMHO. And decide what block to do? How does that sound? :)

Please feel free to tell me to get off my high horse if I'm being annoying. I'm very good at that. :)
