Re: Tea Party Swap ! TIME TO PARTY!!
I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! I had the grandkids over. They had a blast doing The Easter egg hunt & playing in the yard. It was a beautiful spring day! I'm looking forward to more lovely Spring colors & sunshine.
Carole congrats on your grandson's accomplishments! That's wonderful.
I've loved reading everyone's descriptions of our garden tea party. With flowers, music, cake, just the right dress, gloves & hat we're all set to go.
I finished all of my blocks. Please pm your address MaryZ. Thanks!

BEV, I sent you a PM with my address. I'll be watching for your blocks in a few days.
CAROLYN, yours will be here soon, too!
MARY ROSE - ran out of thread! Impossible! You're a quilter! Though Mary Q ran out of white some time back and I only have enough black to sew on a button. I guess it happens!
MARY Q and MERRYGO - I received your blocks and have them safely stashed in my sewing room. Thank you!
Did y'all notice that more than 1/3 of our tea partiers are Marys! We Marys are taking over the world! bwa ha ha.

Maryz I think you are right, I think this is the most Marys we have had in one swap! If the Marys take over the world, then maybe we will have more fabric to make more quilts!!!

Re: Tea Party Swap ! TIME TO PARTY!!
Finally able to get in my sewing room to finish up my Tea Party Block. All I need to do is stitch them down. I have learned not to cut 12.5+++ blocks at night and when you are in pain. 6 of mine needed to be cut again. They were to close to 12.5”+
Carole. Congratulations on your Grandsons success. It is not often we hear of a young person striving to go after what he wants. I wish him all the best in his journey forward.
MaryRose. Your quilting room is your workshop and a beautiful one it is. I see lots of inspiration coming forth in everything you stitch.
Linda. You are right. There have been some blessings we have enjoyed in our senior moments. I am not letting this pain hold me down. I do what I can when I can and I have some wonderful ladies who are very patient in me getting to their quilts.
MaryGo. Congrats on finishing your party blocks. It is always a FABulous feeling!! Now comes the anticipation of receiving yours back with all the others.
Chriss. Who can resist swiping a finger in the frosting. Not me!!!!!
Maryz. Happy to hear your stash cleaned itself up. I LOVE it when it does it itself. Sashings. That is the question of the day. I have some cupcake fabrics I might use
Tina. You and I seem to be in the same boat. A little at a time will get you to the finish before you know it. I have my Hallmark movies taped and ready to watch as I stitch mine down.
Happy Stitching!!!!

Re: Tea Party Swap ! TIME TO PARTY!!
Big news in our mailbox today. Two sets of blocks came in from Carole With an E and Carolyn. Thank you ladies!
Bev, I got your p.m. Will be looking for your blocks my next trip to the mailbox!
Nice to hear everyone else is making good progress.
I should have mentioned this but I guess I forgot. Please don’t forget to put your blocks in a Ziploc bag. Most of them are coming to me in a lightweight cardboard envelope. I live in the Pacific Northwest. Wet happens. Often. Protect your blocks and bag them. And while you are at it, make sure your name and address are on that Ziploc. The post office can do some pretty weird things to packaging sometimes. A few months ago I received an order from QIAD so mangled that the post office repackaged it and in so doing, lost some included necessary information. Just sayin’.....

Ladies, Our outfits are all together and ready to go! The musicians are tuning up, and the food has started arriving. We're almost ready to kick this party into high gear!

Re: Tea Party Swap ! TIME TO PARTY!!
Merrygo, great story about your NC property and your aunt. Enjoy your visit to the family property.
Carole, yes, prayers were instrumental in your DD's life. Had she not been the strong determined woman she is the prayers might not have been as effective. God makes the path and it was her strength that followed it.
Maryrose, UGH, running out of thread is a booger.
Maryz, yes, I noticed that the Mary's have over run this swap. Maryz, Maryq, Merrygo, Maryrose.
Teresa, if you swipe the frosting on one side of the cake and I swipe on the other side it will look like Vinae planned it that way all along.

Re: Tea Party Swap ! TIME TO PARTY!!
Merry Go, I must have missed your story about your NC property and your aunt. I think I was still camping and then in a flurry to unpack and make ready for Easter and for company, who are still here. Fascinating! Where in NC is it located? I have in-laws who live in Concord, which I believe is near Charlotte.
Carole with an E - are you on the road to SC yet? I can't tell you how warm my heart gets when I think of your DD and her family! And didn't she start seeing a fella a while back who you thought might be a keeper? How is that going?
CHRISS - and did you notice that Mary Q made TWO sets? That's 5 our of 14! and, Chriss, STAY OUT OF THE FROSTING!
LORI - are you home yet? Bet Jack and Wrigley (and maybe your DH?) were 'wriggling' with in happiness!
TERESA - how's it going? I hope we aren't wearing you out too much. small spurts of sewing and frequent rests - that's the ticket!
VINAE - Yep! If the Mary's take over the world it will be fabric in every sewing stash!
MARY ROSE - do we need to send you some more nails and varnish?
TINA - how's it going in your sewing room?
I have my bathroom scrubbed down and our downstairs all cleaned up. Now I'm off to see if there's any trouble in my sewing room that I can get into.
