Oh Oh, guess it's been a while since I've checked in!

My blocks are all packed up and going to the PO today!

Had such fun making the blocks and am so looking forward to seeing them all put together! Will have to go through my stash to see what I can use for sashing and border and backing. But at least my stash cleaned up now so I can FIND something!

Wow! I turn my back for a single day and everyone pops in! Plus Teresa texted me that she is making progress, too.

LINDA - I'm glad you've enjoyed attending the "party"! And I like your fabrics. It reminds me of flowers climbing a trellis. All along, I've envisioned our party to be outside in a pretty garden with lush green grass under the table (when Mary Rose gets finished building them!) and flowers all around with bees buzzing and birds chirping.

MERRY-GO - great news! I'll be looking for your blocks in a few days! I have in-law family in NC, too. My late husband's sister and BIL. It's a beautiful state.

CHRISS - Shame on you for sneaking frosting! And yes, time flies! I can't believe Carole's grands are growing up so fast!

MARY Q - I'll be looking for your blocks soon, too! So is your stash ALL organized?? I finally reached the saturation point with mine and have a few stacks of folded fabric sitting out because the shelves are beyond full! lol! I don't dare go back to the LQS that is closing!

CAROLE - I'll send you my address in a minute. I think we are ALL so very proud of your grandkids, and of your DD, too!! She needs extra hugs - even from strangers like me! So please give her one, will you?

Good Morning all tea party goers,

Thank you so much for all the applause for Kenneth. You lived through the worse time of our lives with us and prayed and prayed for a good outcome. DD truly believes that without all of your prayers things might have ended differently. But God listened to all our voices and now you can see the outcome. Thank you!

My dresses are all packed up and awaiting DH (otherwise known as Mr. Wonderful) to get them to the P. O. I won't get my share of the ingredients that will make not only a fun party but a beautiful and tasty tea party until I get back from S. C. But that is okay, gives me something to look forward to. I will be sending the number from the P.O. as soon as I get it, probably next week.

Happy Easter everyone,

Carole

I'm happy to report that I got to the PO yesterday. My blocks are expected to arrive tomorrow (4/22). The tracking number is 9505 5158 2557 9108 1640 42.

I'm looking forward to visiting the NC area this summer. I have some acreage there that has been in my Dad's family for about 100 years (I've never seen it). I've been reluctant to sell it since my Dad wanted to keep it in the family. I will have to figure out when hunting season is because I heard the locals go onto the property to hunt. Yikes!! His family grew tobacco and cotton. I learned to crochet from his sister (my Aunt) using cotton tobacco twine. I still have it some 50 years later. My Aunt would crochet bed coverings from it. I love to learn about textile history. Talk about using what is available!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Looks like several of you have blocks on the way to me! The mail is going to be fun this week! When your tracking number says it’s delivered, that means it’s delivered to my private mailbox. We pick the mail up about three times a week so don’t stress if I don’t get it for a few days.

Maryz, some of the best things in life are all about the frosting.

ARG...I ran out of thread! When the wash stops where I can switch it over to dry, I will head over to Joann's to pick some more up on my way to the dentist. I have 5 1/2 tables and chairs left.

Hope everyone had a blessed Easter.

Mary/Rosebud
