Beachrose, here's SewSew's round robin from the first time.

She did the beautiful center block with the appliqued birds. QuilterLiz put on the sunshine border and LHostelley did the appliqued flowers then I put on the framing border.

Whenever I had trouble thinking of a border to put on, I took the round robin to the local quilt store and they had fun helping me decide what type of border to put on.

There's a choice of 3 borders: Appliqued, pieced and plain. First person decides on one of the 3 choices. Second person then decides what border from the 2 remaining choices. Third person does whatever choice is left. But, the border itself is up to them. Some people send fabric along with it, other's just say please stick to a certain fabric line. Some say no batiks or no reproductions or no bright colors.

Hope this helps.

Also, whoever does the center block, owns the completed top.

Oh Evie, the memories, I still have not finished off this project. I have been practicing my free motion quilting because I want to add some floral designs to the applique round. Hopefully I can get started on it after the holidays so that it will be ready to put up in the spring.

uh oh, i just had my doctor's appointment and my next surgery is scheduled for jan 16th. i'm sure i could have my center done by then but it'd make it hard to do the other rounds. i'll have to give this one ome thought, i really want to do this.
