HAH... we got her... twisted her arm and made her cry uncle.... glad you will join us Jacquie....
here is my suggestion..... we start on Jan 1 2011..... we have all blocks done and sent to the hostess by 3/1/11.... I will get them to you all by the 15th of March at the latest..... if this all plays out right you could probably have your quilt finished by July 4th....you could even start sewing blocks now and be ready to mail them in.
12 1/2" unfinished blocks with your state block on them... fabric in red, white and blue... nice LQS fabric.. no thin or see through fabric.... no other colors...
Make sure to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the blocks return home. This will help speed up the process. Also make sure to attach a small address label to the back of each, so the recipient will know who made which block. ( this paragraph stolen from Mary Ellen's Christmas block swap)
anything I missed???? how does this sound???

Re: Just an idea
we do need a roll call but with school starting and the holidays coming up everyone has decided they want to wait till the first...
if you all want to do this sooner letme know... how about this
let me know if you want to start sooner or later and the majority has it...I wouldn't think there would be more than 15 or 20 blocks and if you made 5 blocks a week for 4 weeks you'd be done....
let me knwo and pass along the word.....

Re: Just an idea
I'd love to be involved in this if you'll have me......haven't checked all the blocks yet on quilterscache, but if i don't find somehting that can represent my home town then maybe i can just do a union jack type block, you'll all spot the uk block then
of i could do the england flag but thats a bit boring as its just white background with a red cross on it, let me know what you guys think
