I want to do this one. 6 blocks right?
Only - I need to think about my commitments.
And - can you explain again to me please - tone on tone / TOT?
Is it a print with different shades of the same color? Only 2 shades of a color? or can there be 3 or 4 shades of the same color?
Are these tone on tone?
Dark Blue with lighter blue print.
What about Dark Blue with a Black blue print and a lavender blue accent?
I don't really think I understand what tone on tone is.
If you had a fabric with dark blue and light blue - but it had white dots in it - that would NOT be tone on tone? because it has white in it?
Would you girls mind extending the due date to June 15th?
I'm not sure I can meet the June 1st deadline.
Although I would like to try - you know - Kid in a candy store eats too much and gets a tummy ache afterward.
I certainly do understand if you'd prefer not to extend the date... and there will always be "part 2" - right?
Thanks,
cathy

Okay, I've decided that I would like to join in on this if the swap is still open. I've got 3 blocks ready to start appliqueing, but wanted to wait to make more to see how many to make for sure and if they should be all the same or different.
I've got some butterfly fabric for round 2 also, but haven't decided what pattern to use. I want to find something pretty!
Thanks!

Due date has been extended to the 15th of each month.
Cathy - yes you can use 3 or 4 colors. What I don't want to see is flowers, geomatric that kind of thing. Whatever you have that would look like a butterfly once its finished. PLEASE USE YOUR STASH ladies if you can.

Thank You DJ. I may be able to meet the 1st deadline - but the buffer makes breathing easier... just in case.
I have two patterns chosen, and plan to use bright contrasting colors for one, and maybe pastels for the other.
I'll get to work.

I keep opening this post. I wish I hadn't bitten off so much just lately. I just can't fit this one in the schedule. Maybe next time the butterflies come around.

OK, I can't stand it. I made one butterfly last night and it turned out all right. I hope to make one a day and get them to you along with my Salute to Summer blocks. So sign me up for 6.

Is this a traditional block pattern for round two?
