Ann - I just looked at the pattern again. Since this is suppose to be pots in the same cabinet, shouldn't all of the shelves, sides, top and bottom be the same? Maybe we could all use unbleached muslin for the background and all use the same fabric for the sides, top and bottom.

dj, I understand what you are saying, but I think to ask everyone to use the exact same fabric may be a little difficult. Not everyone is able to shop at an LQS on a regular basis and some shop by mail, so we may not be able to find the exact same fabrics.
I think if we at least try to keep it in the same range of color and then use our own color to fnish off the cabinet it will look okay. My grandmother used to line the shelves in her cabinets with different designs of paper to match whatever she had in them. I guess I am just remembering how her cabinets looked to me as a child.

Okay Ann - gotcha. So White or WOW for the background and then tan TOT for the left side and bottom - right?

Re: Coffee/teapot Swap -- UPDATE SEPT. 19TH
What kind of fusible is everyone using? I've been reading about wonderunder (another thread). I used that years ago and had good luck, but now I'm hearing it has a problem. Haven't used any in many a year.
Does anyone know what Eleanor uses? I've been watching her applique in a day series but she never mentions the brand, but whatever she uses looks so nice.
Is everyone machine appliquing or are some people doing it by hand? I've been reading the directions with the pattern and they say to just cut and then use a tight zig-zag to cover the raw edges. Eleanor's way looks so nice with the turned pieces. I was thinking I would do her way. I took a look at the pot pieces and they all look large enough to use her "straw and bodkin" turning method.

I use Heat-N-Bond LITE, I love it. Amie

Carol, I use the same kind as Eleanor's. I buy it at my LQS. It's a light fusible, soft on one side and the other has little dots (that's the fusible side). it's sold by yard and is wide. It's very easy to work with.

I haven't looked at the patterns really closely yet, but am hoping to try Eleanor's fusible interfacing method. I've only tried that method once-- on some biddies for a chicken quilt swap I was in. It was SO easy to do!
I've got a couple other projects that I've got to complete first, but hope to at least try one of the teapots soon. I look forward to seeing all these-- I *know* they will be so pretty! I'm sure I will have lots of questions!

I will be trying El's method to put my teapots together and had planned on doing a practic block, but I think it will have to wait until after Paducah.
I have sooooo many things to take care of in the next week and I don't want to get caught up in something new just yet.
