You have my vote for donating the extra blocks to the wounded soldiers. It would make a beautiful way to say thank you. Maybe for the block that is missing, we could pass around a block for each of us to sign for whoever gets it.

Jan - I like that idea. Ladies the kits have been sorted and you are gonna luv all your blocks. I need to figure out what day I can go to the PO. I usually don't go until Saturdays. I had a really bad weekend. Stayed in bed with the covers over my head. Sorry!!!

Thanks Gwen but a couple of the ladies have plans for these blocks. I'm gonna see if DD can do it tomorrow. Also, anyone willing to make the SBS so we can collect the signatures. I'll put the quilt together and get it quilted. Then DGSs and I will take it up to Walter Reed. I'll make sure we take pictures and post them.

Lori:
Going out this afternoon. I'm leaving the office early today so I can take them myself. Had a bit of trouble in the NEW condo this weekend. I noticed I had a slow drain in the kitchen on Wednesday so I used some Drano. Unfortunately, I didn't know the pipes were so old and when I got home on Friday night I had a flooded kitchen and dining room. Then on Saturday, the refrigerator went out. I just moved in 2 weeks ago. Even though I made the seller give me a HOW policy in the settlement, it still is an inconvenience not to mention an upfront cost to me. I had to pay a plummer $250 because it was a Saturday - thank goodness it was a friend of my DB - it would have been more than that. The refrigerator I wanted to change out eventually, but wanted to do it at my own pace. Geez - money where does it go.

DJ... so sorry you have had a rough start to your move... looks like you were moving the exact time we were... we have had bad luck too... our AC is not working... which usually is not a problem in San Diego but it has been unusually hot and sticky these last 2 weeks... and the AC guys are totally dragging their feet... saying it needs this part no wait it needs that part... you know the routine... The whole unit is only 1 year old and it is under warranty... seems like they are more interested in taking new job orders than fixing the ones they put in wrong to begin with! Agh! Sorry to vent! I hope you settle in soon!
Cheers!

DJ, when it rains it pours. No hurry. I've been gone and just wanted to know if they were enroute. Lori
