I haven't been on in a while. Just picked up TeresaK's message to mail blocks to her. I apologize, I'm not quite done with my squares. I'm sorry for the delay. Could you give me a couple of days to finish them and I'll get them in the mail on Friday?

I've had some things come up I didn't plan but I'm working on them now.

By the way, I have to say, this is a beautiful block. I'll post pics when I'm done if I can get my son to help me.

A few more days won't bother me any. We all have things that get in the way, so I certainly understand about delays. I'll still be glad to get the blocks just a few days later than it would have been.

You all are so sweet. I was thinking I had the whole month of Aug to finish them, plenty of time, right? Then my husband decided to have all the drywall patched in the house, easy right? NO. I have been surviving on a few hours of sleep each night trying to stay one step ahead of the painters/drywallers. They are done now but my house is a mess! Nothing is in the right place but every wall is freshly painted and every room is clean. I just have to put everything back where it belongs unless I just want to leave it in the middle of the Living Room! But for now, I have to sew! I can organize later.

And here I thought I was the only one trying to play catchup.
A few more days will be a blessing to me as I am tying to catchup on mine also. Life does have a way of getting in the way of our plans. I am smiling as I write this.

The only thing I have done is open the packages to let them breathe but have kept them in the bags themselves. It sure is fun to peek now and again.

I just talked with Cindyb and she is still in it and is working on her blocks as well so we are good as far as having more time. No rush as it is always a good feeling to know we have stitched out best and I know for me I feel better when I like what I have made.

I will be here patiently waiting for my good looking mailman to deliver your goodies.

Marcia - I am the same way and I believe it is called life. It does have a way of getting in the way of what we want to do but all will work out just nicely.

I kept telling my kids when they were is school that if you have the time to do what you are supposed to do now ... do not wait because something will always get in the way and Mom was 99% right. LOL

Courtney was just telling me that there is a calm before the storm and that she has a presentation that is due in October but she is getting it done now. Brings back memories and warms my heart that she remembers not to wait.

Anyway back to why I am here... Grannyjean your package came today. Beautiful blocks!!! All of them will go so nicely together.

I have the quarters sewn for the 1930's block. I need to size them up and sew them together. I still have the 2 halves to sew together for the fall ones. That is where I am at if it eases anyones mind. I have the advantage though as I don't have to mail them to me. No rush. The timing will be perfect as always.
