Center sections of my blocks are done! Now on to the half-square triangles! I "powered down" yesterday and made a bunch. I need to count what I have here and WRITE DOWN how many more I need...and post the note to myself in a safe place where I won't mislay it!

Update from Minnesota!

I have 8 blocks done and 2 more laid out ready to stitch! (Won't tell how many times I've had to rip seams out and start over tho) It's been a busy day since I've spent the whole day cleaning and doing laundry! But I did manage to sneak in a little sewing.

Back to work tomorrow, but it's a short week and I'm thinking about heading up to the cabin on Friday afternoon. Going to bring up more parts for the blocks and maybe get them done. Then on to finishing the border on God Daughter's Quilt!

Hope everybody had a great holiday weekend!

I am doing mine the QIAD way. All the horizonal rows are done, I just have to sew them together into blocks. Five done, 15 to go or are we changing to 25? If so, I gotta figure out more fabric.

You ladies are killing me. I haven't even started! I have found my block and have the fabrics but that is as far as I have gotten. I guess I really need to get my but in gear!

OMG I must get my butt in gear, too. I have the fabric and the pattern but that's as far as I got.

You folks are further ahead than I am. I spent 2 hours in my LQS today & came home with (drum roll please) NOTHING for this swap. I just can't believe I am having such a hard time with this one!!! I did get some great deals-from 40 to 60% off the fabric I purchased. Also the FQ's were 25 for 25. I think I need to do a 'practice' block to get into the mood. That will be next on the list. Tonight was UFO night. :) S

I haven't started mine, but I need to! Just too many things (like work) getting in the way!

All my half-square triangles are stitched and cut out...need to press them and sliver-trim to square them up (which will be a major pain in the a**), then it's on to block assembly!

If all goes well, we may be putting an offer on a house soon. I don't want the Fall Swap to get lost amongst packing, cleaning, and moving; that's why I am trying to make as much progress as I can NOW, before the insanity takes over!

Cindyb

Doesn't it just suck that we have to work!

I'm working late shift today 1-9, so have spent the morning getting all the pieces for my blocks organized to take to the cabin this weekend. I get the place to myself and unless my sister wants me to paint this weekend, I plan on sewing!!! She's pretty fussy about painting and knowing what a sloppy painter I am, she may tell me "DON"T TOUCH THAT PAINT BRUSH" LOL

We don't have to have all blocks exactly the same do we? I've used the same pattern but different fabrics. Hope that's okay!

Mary - no, they don't have to be all the same - after all, they will go to 20 different people!
