well I didn't end up sewing yesterday. got a text from my friend Joann, seems she had buy 3 get 3 free sewing notions. I had one sewing machine needle left so I headed out and bought needles, then found some remnants that were 75% off the total price, Saved 54 dollars. Yay me.

Love the music notes, they are cool. so many pretty blocks will make up this quilt.

CHRISS - we'll forgive you for not actually sewing since you were out hunting and gathering instead. Can't pass up those bargains! I may go back to my Trains fabric store that is going out of business. Just to see if I missed anything my first go-round.

MARY-GO - Thank you for the birthday wishes. Yes, we've got a great bunch of swappers here. And we often have 1, 2, or even 3 folks who choose to do double sets. Never had anyone do a triple set though. Yet . . lol!

Mary- I did a triple set one time. It was the butterfly swap I hosted. I did three different sets. I made a butterfly quilt for each of my daughters. I still have to put mine together, I haven't decided if I want to make it a king size or a throw size.

Maryz, thanks, I didn't want to be grounded for shopping instead of sewing. I have plenty of sewing machine needles now. Hope you find what you missed at your closing quilt shop.

Vinae, I wish I had my butterfly blocks still. I think I gave them to someone, don't remember. but it was a beautiful swap.

Marygo, yep, some of these gals, including myself at times, get a little goofy and say sign me up again. silly silly ladies. LOL.

Vinae, I didn't know you did a triple set! I've done several doubles - cats (of course!), plaid forest/mountain theme, and most recently, bow ties. And then Chriss had to count all 138 of those bow ties! hahahaha!

Chriss - hahahahaha!

Good Evening Ladies,

My blocks should be at Mary's house on Friday (29th).
Tracking #9405 5036 9930 0459 3799 16.

I'm now looking for a lattice fabric. Hoping I can find some daisies or other small flower border fabric. I'm thinking about making a topper, 4 blocks x 4 blocks, so I made up 2 extra blocks today so I can sew as soon as I receive them.

Have fun Ladies, there is still a lot of time.
Have Fun,
Linda S / OASIS

MZ That cat swap was fun. Those bow ties were much easier to count when I made them into sets of 4. prior to my putting them into sets they were so uncountable.

I wont get to sew Saturday, I am taking a class but look out Sunday, I will hopefully be in my room with my glass of water, slippers, no bra and sunflower seeds. And if it is a nice day the window will be open, if it is rainy I will only open the blind. I think that sounds like the perfect sewing day. What does your perfect sewing day look like?

Chriss- Love the sewing day you have planned. My perfect sewing day sounds a lot like yours. I also like it when it is snowing so I can see the snowflakes coming down. I turn on Christmas music from Oct to Jan and sew sew sew! :D
