Jan and Gwen that string embroidery method sounds like a good idea. I have made some of my blocks but haven't started on all the embroidery either. I think I will give this method a try once I get back to my blocks.

My blocks are ready to go. I think I probably need your address again though since all pms are gone. Thanks, ~Abbigail~

You can wait on it awhile if you want to in case the pms are right yet.

I think all swaps will be delayed until pms are back up and I can send out my address to those that still need it. Hopefully the delay will not be much longer and we can stay on track with everything.

I'm using variegated (sp?) thread that is pretty much close to all the colors I'm using. I sure hope that you all like my scraps! As I've been sewing these, the kids will walk through or ask to see the latest one made and they point out that I made them outfits out of this one and that one.....it's been really neat. (Not to fear, I have plenty scraps left to do their quilts!)

I posted under the I-Spy thread that this block and that one are really challenging to someone with OCD! Can't have red next to red, or too many of one color in a block or clashing colors (pink/orange).

I have 15 of my blocks done and ready to go. How is everyone coming along with their blocks? If anyone needs my address let me know so that I can send you a pm.

Okay - Done with Granny's Flower Garden, Red White and Blue Mini Bow Ties, 4 Patch I-Spy, Pastel Party and "Ugly" Fabric Swap. It is time to concentrate on these. Block foundation has been cut and scrap bin next to machine. DH and I will be tracing the patterns onto the foundation pieces tonight. I will work on these this week/weekend and mail Priority Mail no later than Tuesday.

I'm working on mine. About half done. I've had this cold or whatever is going around for 3 weeks so I haven't been feeling the greatest. Hope to have them in the mail next week.

Ann, my blocks will be in the mail tomorrow. I've finished my blocks, not all hand embroidered though. I was running out of time. With my 2 Singer, there's a "stitch" that I was able to use. Wish I would have done them all by hand! :-(

Working on my blocks...did a sample first. So far so good.
The sample block you posted is so pretty with the machine embroidery.
