MaryRose, YouTube might be helpful for using your machine.

Re: EASTER SWAP! Sign-ups until Feb 20th
I'll watch some YouTube videos when I finish my blocks. I know that is probably counterintuitive but I don't have time to keep stopping and starting. Once l have my blocks in the mail I will pull out my scraps and make some "crumb fabric" to learn on.
Cats, cats, and more cats. Mine keep laying on top of my work and I have to keep moving them to their sewing spots.

Yes, I'm a musician. I play the violin and piano. Currently, I'm in the TSO orchestra.
Thought I'd share with you one of the songs from the album, Dragonology - Greg Hansen (my husband) album with artwork by Imaginemyuniverse with the spotify code! You'll be able to hear my contribution playing the violin. I was able to work with whichcraftstudio.com who helped make spotify code dangles/ keychains for this album. They did a fantastic job!
To use the code:
1. OPEN SPOTIFY APP
2. Press the search button and a camera icon will pop up on the right top side of your phone.
3. Press the camera icon and put it over the picture with the QR code. The song, The Red Dragon, will then pop up in Spotify.
If this isn't allowed, please delete.

BEV - that is so cool that you are such a talented musician! I don't have Spotify and wouldn't know what to do with it if I did. The electronic part of my brain is nearly non-existant. But I'm sure your music is fabulous!
MARY ROSE - Are you having any better luck with your machine? Do you still have your old one or did you trade it in? I agree about manuals - only as a last ditch effort. I actually find that my manual isn't a lot of help. I've called the Sew & Vac place a few times and simply asked them my question - and they solved my problem over the phone. Foxy has his food bowl in my sewing room and a basket on a top shelf for snoozing. But he really likes my chair the best! Sometimes we have to share it. This is probably one reason why I'm at the chiropractor so much! lol!
How is everyone doing on their blocks? No rush! Unless y'all want them back in time for Easter. Just to let you know - we will be gone camping for 4 nights, (March 13-17) and there isn't much internet or phone where we'll be at Cape Disappointment on the Washington side of the mouth of the Columbia River. This area is part of the Lewis & Clark saga and always interesting. Anyway, if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask in this thread or leave me a text on my phone. Whenever we go into town and have coverage, I'll check. And if anyone is going to need my mailing address on Pt. Fosdick Dr. let me know. Just in case someone might still have my old address on 46th Ave. That's my house and no mail is delivered here - only to our PMB on Pt. Fosdick. If you need my cell #, let me know.
Hoppy sewing!

Mary, I still have my Kenmore (Kenny) machine. I brought it back out so I could get my blocks sewn faster. There are still things that must get done before my vacation is over. I will go back to my learning process on Crystal with sewing that is not on a time crunch. Now I must get busy. See everyone later.

MARY ROSE - that's probably a good plan. Do you have room to leave both machines set up? I would love to have my Featherweight and my serger set up in my sewing room, but there's just no place to put them.
VAL - you are quick! I'll be watching for your beauties!
TINA - CAn't believe with all your painting you already have your blocks finished! I'll be ready for them!

Re: EASTER SWAP! Blocks due to me April 30
Mary, of course I have room (: lol: lol: lol: lol:). I can make my whole house my sewing room if I decide to. I'll keep Kenny up in the living room, at least for the time being, and Crystal in the sewing room. Later on, I will deal with how to arrange everything for full time production.
The Celtic Twist blocks are complete, my brain has been given a diversion for a little while, and now it's back to the Easter blocks. There were a couple things that popped into my dreams: idea: the last couple nights. I am going to try them out before discussing them though, so if they don't work none of us are disappointed or frustrated. I'll get back to you soon.
