HI there -
If you are following the Maple Leaf pattern from Quilterscache in Fall shades of batiks with cream backgrounds then you are doing it right.

they do look skinnier but I also don't know if this is the same pattern. We will have to ask her. Do not change anything though. Go ahead and follow the above pattern.

When are they due? Good question.
I am still hoping that more people sign-up after the States Blocks are done the end of March and we need to give them time to make them so... we are shooting for 20 people.

So lets see... April, May, June... June 30th? To much time?

I am hoping this will be fun for all and still give everyone time to work on their projects but have the blocks back to you in time for you to put it together for the Fall.
Sounds Good?

There was a decent amount of bare ground yesterday. Look out this morning, and it's up to the door. Measured it: 9 inches. (even non-drifted spot) It snuck in quietly. It's supposed to go up the hill and dump up there, not down here by the lake.

It's a good day for sewing Springy things! Or pretty colored Fally things.

Oooo - chiiiiiiiilly - I am sending you some CA Sunshine to warm you up. It is a nice clear day at 54 with no wind.

I washed the 3 Batiks I bought from Connecting Threads washed. I washed them with the sheets. I was so hoping they would run and put some character into the sheets but Nope they didn't so now on to ironing.

Happy Stitching!

25 blocks done!!!! I think that should be enough!!! Wanted to finish them up before I start my next project---what ever that is... have so many things I want to do.. Might have to lock myself OUT of the sewing room for a little while so I can do other house projects needing attention! UGH!!!!

Mary - what are house projects? You mean are to do something outside the sewing room?

My fabric is washed.

Valerie:

House projects to do list:
paint my bathroom
vacuum the threads that seem to have traveled from sewing room to the rest of the house
dust everywhere, where DOES that all come from anyway
change sheets
wash floors
shovel snow
Mt. Washmore

with a list like that you see why I'd rather be sewing!
I'm just waiting for the MARCH LOTTO so I can say "Can't clean now I have to get these blocks done!!!"

I did a test one. I have been trying so hard to work on my scant 1/4". One of the feb BOM hearts, I was so nervous about getting it big enough, I ironed it stretched into slightly oversized. I was so proud of the size on this leaf, I had to take a picture.

I definately want some green mixed in with the leaves on my quilt. I like the trees that are just starting to change best. I'm not sure if I want to make this color for you guys, or do oranges.

Maryq I like that about the March Lotto.

The leaf looks brownish online, but it is really more olive greenish.

Gee Mary, I thought somebody else did those things. Maybe that is why nothing has happened at my house and all those things aren't done! I had no idea I was to do something other than sew. I will need to ask DH when he is going to get these things done! Maybe I can trick him into doing them.

I asm working on the details of March, just got a few things to work out so it is clear. Going to try something a little different with an easy block. You all get ready to sign up. 10 or more participants would be great.

Bampish, can't get too much better than that. I got pieces cut for the batik part of my first 12 blocks. Need to cut the background and get the those 12 done then will use a different batik for the second set.
