White Elephant - Round 3

well I looked and the box is in California, but just not in my town..maybe another day or two... hope it gets here tomorrow so I can get it in friday's mail....

well guess what showed up at my house today??? a huge brown box that said caculator tape on it... It didn't take long for me to see it was really an elephant.

there is tons of stuff in that box... this isn't the large flat rate box it is a bigger box....

So, this is what I am going to do... there are a lot of books and magazines... I am going to put them in a large flat rate box and send them out... then I will take another flat rate box... whatever size I can get the other stuff to fit in and send that one out.... problem is... I have a lot of books and magazines too that I would like to add.... but I am going to hold onto those for now.... and maybe some will fit the next go around.... I can't see sending three boxes.

I will get everything sorted out tonight and in tomorrows mail... and I will let you know what I am taking out of the box later on.... lotsa fabric is going to find it's way into my stash....

well Carolyn, that depends... right now I am at two large flat rate boxes... to make sure they aren't over weight I have divided the books... so each will have a mixture....

and I still need to add a few things.... but I am not telling what...

I took a baby quilt book from Michelle and quite a bit of fabric from her. She and I seem to have similar tastes in fabric.... I took a yard off of QF60's quilt fabric, and took the birdhouse buttons....

it will be in tomorrow's mail... lucky you....

I am not sure if it would be cheaper to send these two boxes or one large one... it's the books that add the weight.....

I could Joanne but I don't think it would save me much and I would still have two boxes...

it's ok, either way I will have them in the mail tomorrow, just need to do some taping, but dang it I hate to tape those boxes up when I may just want one more thing.... ugh.

ok Carolyn, it will be in today's mail... DH took the boxes out to the Jeep and it cost me a kiss so you are really indebted to me now my friend...lol.

as of 3:15 this afternoon I am completely elephantless... phew... it took two boxes... one weighs 13 pounds 14 ounces and the other weighs 14 pounds 8 ounces.... by using the flat rate boxes I saved a combined total of about $11.00....

Isn't that funny? two boxes, almost 3! And I took a bunch of stuff out! And I didnt put in as much as I wanted to...it got full fast. Then, I felt kinda guilty about taking out so much, so I put a couple of the books back! How funny...we might have to have a 'yard sale' on the elephant remains! muahahahaha!
