I am so far behind now... a full row, and a new one comes out Monday! With any luck, I hope to work on nothing but Bloom on Monday.

That's not to say... I haven't been working on Bloom... just not on mine. I made 12 blocks for Tina's cancer quilt blocks using Bloom templates. I made up a lot of my flowers as I went along. It's just so much fun and so addicting! Back to BLOOMing 30s quilt on Monday--after Mother's day brunch here on Sunday, cleaning today, and shopping and prep tomorrow.

I think I am blonde - I just remembered that my tablet has a camera - duh! So I am trying to see if this works - the Batt Cave was a little dark this morning - so we will see. I am working on today's block and if this works will post it after I am done. The computers are still be set up and now DH broke the camera that we had - so we will go and get a new one - maybe today!

Yea - it worked - but the colors are washed out - oh well at least I figured out how to do it from my tablet.

Here is this week's block - have we really been doing this for 18 weeks? Seems like last week we started these.

I got all the pieces parts cut and ready to fuse to their backgrounds - but will have to wait as I don't know how far from the top or sides she will set them. Since I have the others done at her spacing, I will wait for the next two weeks, but it won't take long to fuse and applique.

I can now cut out my scrappy border as I know which pieces I needed to use for the flower centers. Working from a kit, I was afraid that I might end up short, but not a problem, I have plenty of fabrics for that border.

Jana--her fabrics are so sweet! I'd love to have a couple of yards of that background!!! It reminds me of my grade school penmanship books. The baby chicks are darling, too. This is my "year of the stash", and I'm trying so hard not to order more fabric, but that collection sure calls my name.

I went ahead and finished all of the blocks--guessed at dimensions (figured no one but me and the rest of you doing the quilt would notice). The saying on the farm is "make hay while the sun shines," but my interpretation is "sew as much as you can before the sun shines". The last couple of days were rainy and damp, and I took full advantage of staying inside. I still need to do the scrappy border and find some fabric with enough to do the outside border.
