I have found that all reds run! Especially in hot water. I tried the vinegar method first, in cold water - thought it had stopped running. Nope. Then bought the Retayne, followed the directions exactly and it stopped running. I have fallen in love with Retayne. Works wonderfully.

I found mine at my LQS, but checked on line, Walmart had it and I think Hobby Lobby as well. JoAnn's carries it too. The big bottle cost me $7, well worth it. You only use a teaspoon of Retayne per yard of fabric. My only draw back is, I can't use my "new" because it is a energy efficent machine, so I did it by hand in my sink. Worked fine.

I might become a pre-wash quilter with this stuff.

Michael knows that he might be replaced -LOL I know when the railroad is up and running, I will be!

Izzy, your block is beautiful. Don't worry for the colors shown on screen, it is same for my blocks. They look darker than should be.
