Mel, yes it is very easy. I would say to cut all the strips before you start as there are tons of pieces that go into making each square. I just wanted to see how it would go together before I used my planned material. I'm thinking of doing a wall hanging in fruits and veggies material by moda. I can't wait for the webinar. My DH really likes the civil war fabric one.

Joan - it is turning out beautiful! I like the idea of the fruits and veggies - will look great in a kitchen!
I love that pattern - have been staring at it for ideas of fabrics - batiks, christmas, fall - just don't know which way I am going yet! Maybe even reds for my bedroom - humm - a quilt for me! LOL Like that is going to happen anytime soon!
Webinar should be lots of fun! and the rest of them too.

Joan--wonderful block from your scraps!!
Looking forward to Tuesday, but I'll be following on computer with all of you (have to fly to Oregon for a wedding so can't drive down to San Marcos this week) Don't have my pattern yet.....
Did everyone watch the Bed Turning? Great show (of course I loved seeing my hexagon quilt in it!!)
Just got back from running the Quilt in a Day booth at the Riley Blake Designs Fabric Fest in Las Vegas (they asked me, on Monday morning, to meet them before 7 that evening as the employee scheduled was unable to make it--had fun working and playing with El and Sue but my feet sure were killing me!) Had lunch with Jenny Doan of Missouri Star Quilt Co. a couple of times (with El and Sue, of course) I'm a lucky girl to have El and Sue as friends!

Today sure was fun seeing all those beautiful quilts. Sally I did not know that hexie quilt was yours. Way to go girl. Thanks Izzy for the compliment on my wall hanging. I had ice water. Mel, this quilt is very addicting, I can see it so many different ways. When I did mine I just chose scraps to see how it would go together. Expect to see more for not just me. It's really fun and easy. Just lots of cutting and pressing. I guess it's a good way to get in some exercise. up and down, up and down.
Can't wait for the Tuesday show. Sally you are one lucky gal to know & work with El & Sue.

Loved the new show. I'm re-thinking about the strip cutters from Accuquilt (thought I didn't need them before.......). Strange to watch on computer rather than being there!! Still don't have my pattern, boohoo. May have to call again! I'm thinking batiks and black background or maybe Civil War scrappy!

Just watched geese in garden. All the pineapple quilts were so beautiful. I learned a lot. I have had the rulers but havent used them yet so I am excited to try this one whenever I find my sewing table from all the other blocks I am working on.
