Hi I got Ruths package today.. I am so impressed with your color choices ladies our trees are going to be so pretty, I know we have to rework the pattern somewhat to do the tree with the number of squares we are getting if you are turning it into a lap quilt for a wall hanging you will have plenty.

I appreciate all the kind words of sympathy and empathy as well, I just wasn't prepared for it to happen when it did, but then really are we ever totally prepared to lose a parent, spouse or a child or even a pet. My siblings and I did an amazing job if I do say so myself in organzing a celebration of his life. He had alzheimers for 16 years and I think a lot of people forgot what he had done before that. The moment that touched me the most was when I saw the quilt that I made for him last christmas draped in the chapel with his picture beside it.. the last word I ever heard my dad say was "beautiful" in a telephone conversation of jibberish after he got it. The other touching moment for me was at the graveside , my father was a first generation Canadian, his parents immigrated from Scotland over to Alberta just before WW1. Before and after the brief service there a bagpiper played and on the crisp autumn air it was so touching.
OOps sorry didnt mean to write an epistle... thanks for bearing with me and also for the hostess gifts you have sent as well.

Beth,

I have my fabric all washed and ironed. Getting ready to cut them this morning.

I need your address again. I didn't copy it down before the server crashed and the messages were lost. I should be mailing them by Thursday or Friday.

I think I wrote you the check for $4.75. To send mine was like $9. something and was with nothing... no insurance or anything. How much more do you need so I can send you a check?

After reading what everyone wrote, I just went ahead and got a flat rate priority box, put delivery confirmation on it and mailed it today.

Box contents: 18 regular swap bags and one hostess bag to equal 19 bags. Hostess bag has the regular swap charms, plus I raided my stash and included a few more reds, greens, and one more gold.

Also, I included a check for $10 to cover postage and delivery confirmation. Don't worry about change, it's not enough to worry about.

Also, I included an address label for the return box. Oops, I just reread your instructions, so just toss my return label.

Thanks again Beth for hosting this swap.

Just checked in today and read all the posts. Glad to hear mine arrived. Will send more money. I didn't know if it was just they way I sent mine (fed-ex insured) that made it more. Anyway no problem.

Ruth

p.s. Your father's service sounds beautiful. There is something about bagpipes that get me everytime. Be well and at peace.

Beth,
Mine are being shipped today. I had good intentions of doing it the first of the week but didn't make it. I will be interested to see how long the journey to you will be. My return fee is included in your hostess bag. Have a great day.

Beth and all others
I am sooooo sorry but I am going to have to drop out of this one after all.
Between the new job and the move to Idaho comming up I dont have the time or finances to complete this in time and dont want to hold anyone up.
I hope this does not cause too many issues for anyone.
Thanks to all and will be back after my move is complete.
