we'll just have to make sure you two don't end up in the same group so you don't see you own RR before you're supposed to. :)

The biggest rule, quilterbee, is that there are no quilt police here. everyone will be happy with what you do simply because you took the time and effort to do it. the friendships we share during this process are more important than the outcome. :)

Leetec, very well said. The focus of a round robin is that everyone is accepting of whatever each person adds to your medallion and we accept that not everyone is of the same skill level. All we ask is that you keep the medallion moving and keep in touch with your group. (sorry leetec and gardenquilter, I had to add that)

All that said, I have been in two round robins and have not been disappointed with either. I am amazed at how beautiful the work of each of these ladies is, even the ones that say they are not experienced quilters. A round robin, I believe, brings out the creativity in each of us and we learn new things not just about quilting but about ourselves and others.

Sorry, about going on like this but I have loved my experiences with both round robins and I think everyone should try it at least once.

well said, ann. this process is fun and it challanges us to do things we might not do on our own quilts. i know i found myself trying new things to make the round i was working on special.

we all know that life is not predictable and things come up that have to take priority over other things. if this happens, please take a moment whenever you can to let the other peope in your group know that you will be delayed. no details are necessary, but communication is key to RRs being successful. :)

above all, ENJOY!!!! :)

I would love to be part of this, how does it work?

Some starts with a center of a block...just one block...then sends it onto someone else then they add the next layer of the block, etc! and in the end, you get one block?

....sorry, but I just do not understand?
