Val, I think my blocks should be there about July 27. Hard to read - my P.O. receipt was smeared coming out of their machine, but I think it said the 27th. What a great block this was!

I was able to get one more block done! Really trying to get as many of these partly finished quilts done as I can before the big retirement. Not sure how many is realistic but if I can get 2 more done and quilted I would be happy.
But onto the big reveal!
August winner is KathyR. Yeah Kathy!
From the tickets accummulated this year, drum roll please, the winner is Maryz! Uhm she is home so I can mail!
For the winner of participating all year (that means you didn't miss a block for the year) there were two people, KathyR and Maryq. Both send blocks for the whole 8 months this year. So I needed a tie breaker. KathyR has actually sent in every month for 2 years so the prize will go to her along with her August winnings.
It's a little meloncholly for me to stop lotto for now but hoping somewhere down the road things pick up. I will get things packed up and sent to the winners this week.
Thanks to all you who made lotto the adventure is has been. Will think of something in the future to do for fun. For now,
"May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, May the rain fall softly upon your fields until we meet again, And may God hold you in the hollow of His hand."

Thank you, Val, for the prize but even more for hosting our lotto every month for so long. You made it challenging yet not formidable, fun and creative. I am sorry it is coming to an end, but I so understand. I wish you well and everything you do.
