Thank you Jacquie! Yes after you cut them DO NOT SEW TOGETHER.

stack them into SETs of FOUR and pin them together. Put all sets into one baggie.

I have a question after reading instructions again. (copied here)

* After cutting all your blocks, mix and match them into SETs of 4 blocks each. Pin or stitch a nametag across upper right corner.DO NOT SEW THE 4 BLOCKS TOGETHER. Gives more flexibility to the winners for arrangements.

Do you want us to mix up our own blocks into random sets? Or do you want us to keep the four sections together from the original nine patch and pin them together?

Just want to make sure we understand you intentions for when the blocks arrive at your place.

Thanks
Velda

HUGS, 💕 Vel

Velda - great question! You will see in my sample block that I used 9 different fabrics. So this block was already a nice mix.

If you use the same fabrics in the corners and the inside edges than after making 4 blocks using different fabrics in each you would want to take 1 from each 9 patch block and make it into mixed Set of 4

The FUN part about this block and brilliant quilt is to use as many different fabrics as you can.

Hope I explained it well. Enjoy!!!

thanks for video Ive done this one before but in bigger fasion with 10 in blocks LOL:)

So I am with velda: we DO NOT sew then together after we cut them? or if we have a variety like El did with 9 different squares then its OK to sew together?

Just get clarity before I get home to sew LOL> Sad day went to the only LQS here in town and it closed up. SAD didnt get to do any shopping for fabrics.

Hi Izzy, no... don't sew them at all, just a wee pin in the corner to keep them grouped together is great :)

Happy sewing :)

Jacquie - You are up bright and early!!! Thanks again. Yes you are right.
NO sewing them together after you cut them. Just pin or baste your nametag to the corner of the block. I will be checking them to see if you get the extra ticket for having the four corners be different.

Here is another example of some great fabrics. BUT Don't forget EVERYTHING FALL - the pumpkins, apples and anything that says FALL, HARVEST, SWEET SCARECROWS, COMFORT. Not just the color of the leaves but what is around them.

Welcome back Maryq. Been missing you. It is always FUN to find fabrics in your stash that will work perfectly!!! Happy stitching!!!

YEA - We have a Secret Santa with us this month. Hope the Elf will be Lucky this month!!! Santa.

Jacquie - LOVE your blocks from across the pond!! Very fally and sew YOU !!! They are airing out as they must have taken a boat to get here. No damage at all - whew!!!

*** EVERYONE: Don't forget if you can figure out a sneaky way for your Elf to join us this month you both get an extra ticket per block!!! You just need to tell me she has joined and Mary needs to confirm it. You don't need to tell me who it is unless I am mailing the blocks to her from her Secret Santa. What a PERFECT GIFT!!!
