I promised myself I would stop signing up for every challenge that comes around. I already have more obligations, and not enough time to make the quilts I've been thinking about! BUT, I had to "just look" and of course I LOVE this! Velda - I was going to use the Missourri Star Tutorial but the blocks were smaller and then I saw this one and thought it would be better and easier for all to make this block first using the bigger blocks making it a 12.5" square. Congrats on your BFF's new GGBaby. What a great gift you will be making. I do believe I have seen some new fabrics out there for making changing pads and even diaper covers. Did you see they actually made diapers that looked like jean fabric. Wonderful that you can join us this month!!!!

***** As to Jacquie's question about multi fabrics ... Her blocks look awesome so that is perfectly fine with me ... just make sure you have 2 different fabrics that are darker than the other 2 different fabrics so you get a good contrast.

JACQUIE..... is right, these are very easy and fun to make up. They finish at a generous 13 inches so will be very nice for the winners.

Another great pattern choice TERESA!

VELDA......I also have a little girl's quilt that I want to make up. I'm going to follow your lead and use this pattern. I think it will make up really nice with some focus fabric. Thanks for the inspiriation!

alas no, i didn't open the seams, just pressed either way as usual... they aren't too bad bulk wise though...
i thought i had f8'ths but they weren't even that!!! never mind...

A REMINDER to all ... PLEASE WASH FABRICS ... REDs are terrible bleeders. There were some in my stash that ran like crazy. I am out of breath trying to "Color Catch" up to them ... LOL!!!!

This looks easy enough and I bought some heart fabric while I was in Paducah last year and didn't know what I was going to do with it. I will try for 4 and do more if I can.
