Am I wrong or do you still need more people in a group? If so could you add me to the list? Thanks!

I'm in List 2, but am so excited for this to begin, so I'm reading messages for both lists. :-)

The scrapbook boxes are a great idea, and the perfect size! They used to have them at the Dollar Tree-- 2 in a package, I *think*. They would hold a good stack of blocks--- I had never even thought of using them for quilt blocks! I hope they still have them!!

I love those scrapbook boxes for my quilts in progress. I know I've got 10 of them (can see them from where I'm sitting) and there may be 1 or 2 more. DH swipped one last fall for somethign he was doing at school.

It's my plan to get the blocks done sooner than later so I'm not panicing at the last moment. The last bithday swap similar to this I participated in I had everything ready to go by the end of January, with notes on when to take the card to the mail.

Ann, I get side-tracked, too! I sit here at the computer in the morning thinking about what I plan to accomplish while I check to see what's happened overnight, but then when I actually get to the sewing machine, sometimes things change drastically! I'm retired and have all day so who cares..... lol

Gwen, I'll look for the scrapbook boxes at Dollar Tree. I've been trying to find something to also put my applique in that I can carry around from place to place. Maybe they'll work for that, too. Thanks....

Just to keep us all "on the same page". If anyone asked to be in a second group, I'll wait until this weekend for anyone new to join, then if there's space, I'll add you to the group and send you a pm. My guess is there will be room.
As soon as we have everyone's information, we'll send out the lists. We (Caroline and I) decided to wait to send out the info for the group until we had all information for the group so that we all know that we have complete information and aren't waiting/expecting/looking for/wondering when it will come additional people's information. "Everything in one package." SO, if you haven't sent me your information, pls do so as soon as possible. If you have questions about your block choice or any other questions, pls pm me.
I know we're all eager to get our groups and get started! Those of you who are very organized will probably have them all done before the end of the year. But remember, just send them in time for the birthday. My suggestion is that we try to send about a week before the date. That should give enough time for us to use first class mail across the country. If we're sending our of USA, then check with the post office about the travel time.
More info as is becomes available. For now, HUGS, have a great night, carol/kittyquilt

Saying a prayer right now that I can actually sew the blocks you ladies want! I am really looking forward to this...and I will do my best to have them all completed by the end of this year. I like the idea of the pizza/scrapbooking box and the envelope already prepared.

You ladies that are very orgainized, I do envy you that ability. Let's get going! Yippeeeeee!
