I'm cutting each block into forths, re-arrange the quarters and piece back together. I'm enlarging the pattern to a about a 24" flower on a 40" or so background for the center of my quilt. I am going to arrange the blocks around the center. I was in Pat Sloan's swap and I wish I had saved the blocks to use with these.

www.fatcatpatterns.com is a website the my new friend owns and she has designed some wonderful raw edge bullseye blocks! Maybe, I will alternate of the swap blocks with some of hers....like the hearts!

I, too am ready to get started, but to be honest.....I am a slow starter....AND finisher! LOL! So, whenever they come.....that will be fine with me. Amie :o)

CindyB,

I want you to know that you can take your time, with all of the card swaps, collecting blocks for lost souls too.Trying to keep all of that straight is more then what I could do and I have no illness.

As for me I am in no big hurry, when they arrive I will just look at them for maybe 3 months before doing anything with them. Just glad that I am receiving blocks from others is a JOY all of its own.

But for now YOU and KEITH come first, and your trip (vacation)that has been planned for a long time and deserve, getting ready for Paducah. Fixing up rental house to help pay for it all. Family, business, then the forum swaps, after all it is suppose to be FUN not stressful on you on the forum.
So if you have to wait till a few more weeks then take it. I know most of us will be patient . There may be one or two a little bit preeved but if that is the case let them do a swap and see how hard it is to do all. Illness, hospitals, family bitterness.
Cindy you are the greatest for doing all you are doing and you keep trying to do more. HEALTH comes first, remember that.

Thank you all for your patience and support with Cindy's situation. Our poor Cindy has really been going through a lot lately. I for one greatly appreciate all that Cindy does for this forum. Can't figure out how she manages: works full time, takes care of her husband after his surgery, is always on top of sending card showers, and more.

Please be kind and patient if your blocks are a little slow coming back on this swap, Cindy deserves a break.

Thanks all,
Linda

I agree with Busyhands 100%. Cindy, there would be no French Roses swap without you. These swaps involve a whole lot of hard work that we don't realize until we've hosted one. And not only have you hosted numerous swaps, but keep the card showers going plus charity quilts. If anyone is in need, or has a heartache or crisis in their life...you are Johnny on the Spot to rally the El's Angels in a show of support, and have juggled doing so around health issues and a full-time job, etc... As far as I'm concerned, take all the time you need to get these blocks back to us. Speaking for myself, I join swaps purely for the exchange and sharing and comraderie. We love you, Cindy, and we appreciate all the hard work you give to the forum and your sweet giving nature.

Linda and Pam Well said!
Linda you are so right Cindy needs our support I hope that anyone that is upset can understand how much people have on there plate and not say things that perhaps can hurt others feelings. I am not trying to say that has been done on this thread. I am NOT saying anything in this thread was unkind however please remember we need to understand things happen in other peoples lives and that we need to love and care for one another.

Cindy you have so much on your hands, I am amazed you don't fall down from pure overload. HUGS to you, love you dearly!!!

I agree. Like I said in my earlier post, I'm a slooooow starter AND finisher. Whenever they come, they still won't get pieced for a looooong time becasue I'm a slowpoke. Plus, I have the flu, ear infections in BOTH ears and fluid in both lungs. Would you belive.....I NEVER got sick before I quit smoking. Life is SO not fair-LOL. Anyhooo, where is Cindy? I hope everything is OK. Hope she doesn't have what I've got.....yucky! Amie :oD
