Holiday Calendar Swap is full

Post by MuseAndSew » Wed May 18, 2022 10:20 pm

Holiday Calendar Swap

I’m excited for our Holiday Calendar Swap! Sign ups are open now May 19th through Thursday June 2nd. , Deadline to have blocks to me is Saturday, July 16th. . That gives you about 8+ weeks to make your blocks.
Plan on making twelve blocks. If we get 12 people we each pick one month and take the monthly theme & make twelve blocks. If we only get six people to sign up, we would pick 2 months and make 6 blocks for each month for a total of 12 blocks each! At the end of sign ups we’ll determine if you have 1 or 2 months blocks to make. When signing up let me know what month you’d like.
We’d all pick 2 months & make 6 blocks.

January would be winter, Maryq RECEIVED & Delivered
February valentine. Beverly RECEIVED & Delivered
March St. Patrick’s. Maryz. RECEIVED & Delivered
April Easter. Chriss RECEIVED & Delivered
May flowers or veterans Valerie RECEIVED & Delivered
June summer Chriss RECEIVED & Delivered
July 4th of July. KathyR. RECEIVED & Delivered
August vacations or food Maryz RECEIVED & Delivered!
September Fall. Valerie

October Halloween Beverly RECEIVED & Delivered
November Thanksgiving. KathyR . RECEIVED & Delivered
December Christmas. Maryq
RECEIVED & Delivered
There is a lot of leeway in picking your block of the month.
Blocks should be a generous 12-1/2". (If they measure 12-1/4", please fix them before mailing.) Backgrounds can be any choice from white, cream, lt. yellow lt. blue, lt. green. They can be solid or TOT or even a tiny, print. Please pre-wash your fabrics. No muslin. Your blocks can be pieced, appliqued, or paper-pieced. No machine embroidery unless it's just to embellish your block. You may embellish to your heart's content with anything you wish. Ideas are endless!
Second blocks are fine, too, if anyone wishes to make.

As in every contract there is fine print. And if you sign up, this is a contract and you are expected to follow through.

1. PLEASE make your blocks the correct size. Check them!
2. please save your tracking number when you mail in case your blocks arrive a day or two late.
3. include $8.55 for return postage.
4. Please, please, PLEASE do not sign up and then disappear until the last day! Keep in touch! Please don't be "that person". . .

I will probably update this as I think of more details, but for now I wanted to just get this posted so you all can start thinking and perusing your patterns. Questions gladly answered!
This should be a lot of fun!

I'm so happy Chriss & Valerie that you're joining in for our Holiday Calendar Swap. :D This should be a lot of fun! I'm excited to see what blocks you'll come up with.

I'm still thinking. I figured I'd give others a chance to choose a month.

Lots of fun holiday months to choose from. I hope 🤞🏻 the many quilters from quilt in a day will join in! I’ve been waiting to pick a month too in case there is one holiday month someone doesn’t want.

You can put me down for March. Since I am an Irish March baby I guess that should be my month. ☘️
