I have just dreaded posting this post because I know so many of you will be upset and perhaps I may need to leave this lovely group because of it.... Here goes!

I sent SS out to sharonkl at the PO box address listed on the papers that came with Sue. (PO Box 20266, Louisville, KY). She was sent at the end of July before I left on vacation. She had a tracking number, of course. When I got home from NY the tracking stated that she had arrived in Lousiville so I threw out the tracking slip.

I notified sharon some time later and she said she hadn't received Sue. She also said the address that was copied from the paper was wrong, not even close to hers. She said she contacted the PO who stated they did not know where Sue was but she would most likely be returned to sender in several weeks.

I have waited and tried to work with the Louisville post office but they say there isn't anything that can be done. I have sent a letter to the PO box listed in hopes of contacting whomever has Sue, but to no avail.

I am just sick about it but I don't know what else can be done. Please forgive me.

Susan

Sooz, please call that Post Office, I had to last year with stuff sent to my mom while they were at my Grandmas, the post office found the package within an hour or so. They may have it sitting on a shelf or can contact the owner of the PO Box.
I hope this helps :-)

Sue, I'm so sorry that you felt you couldn't come to us with this and you were all alone. I, in no way, feel that you have done anything wrong! These kinds of things just happen sometimes. Even with the best of planning.
My only thought is, can you go through your computer history and possibly find were you entered the tracking number before you threw it out?
Don't spend another minute worrying about it. Just do what you are able, then let it go.
Take care. Joan

sooz I keep telling you all how slow the mail is from good ole ky LOL well now poor Sunbonnet sue is on a postal vacation is a really bad part of town :) (trying to make light of situation:))

Don't worry. It just takes KY postal a lil longer to find things than most post offices. Did you do your tracking online? If so it would still be on your acct.:)) Did you pm her the tracking number? it may still be in your messages too:O)

just a few more Ideas. Maybe in the mean time you could send her Overall sam to visit while we wait for Sue to be found:))

Susan - Hugs to you!! You didn't know. You went with the info you had. If you had checked the tracking number on your computer.....go to your post office and ask if they can give you an idea what the starting numbers would have been when you sent it. Then start typing that in and maybe your computer will show numbers you have entered before, mine does. It might still be there.
