i'll start by saying i've always had a fondness for 'virginia' even though i've never been... probably because i grew up singing 'the blue ridge mountains of virginia', thanks to 'laurel & hardy', which i used to love watching when i was little... i always vowed to myself i would go and see them one day... i WILL one day!!! lol...
so i'm absolutely thrilled to have my 'sp' from virginia this month!!
tina, you have really spoiled me!!! there were the most lovely postcards along with the nicest note from tina... i LOVE to see where my 'sp' is from as well as learning about them and our mutual passion for sewing and crafts...
tina sent me some GORGEOUS batiks!!!! i'm always on the look out for those! some lovely sewing threads to match in beautiful rich colours! yummy!!
a fabulous looking pattern called 'dreaming', which is making my mouth water just looking at it! it's GORGEOUS!! in batiks! which i truly adore!!!
also lots of other wonderful patterns including the cutest little dress i will definitely be making for 'wee phoebe'!! buttons, ribbons and rik-rak which will also be great when used with this dress pattern!! (see, i'm making a metal picture of this all being used together!!)
a cute little trinket box, a very pretty pen to go with a note journal, a new 'quick unpick' which is always a must, as i swear they blunt after time!!!! a 'stitch witchery' which is a new thing to me! i can't wait to try this out, i tell you!!!! wow! lol... just looking at it, i know it will make life a lot easier!!!
the triangle ruler is well and truly going to get used, so so much!!! i have a triangle square up ruler which is getting frog marched to the bin, as it's a waste of space!!! it doesn't work as it's markings are way out!! i hate the thing!! you must be 'psychic' knowing that i needed a reliable triangle ruler! i can't thank you enough!!! they are MUST HAVE's as far as i'm concerned!
there was also a box of 'oil pastels' along with the sewing items, i have to admit, my drawing time has 'had it's nose put out of joint' since my passion for sewing flared up out of control... you are reminding me that i MUST make time for my drawing again, as pastel drawing was once a strong love of mine... the ' oil' pastels will certainly get put through their paces!! thank you for them!!

there is the cutest pair of slipper socks here, (which i'm wearing right now!!! may i add!!!) a must here in scotland as we have been transported right back into the depths of winter again! grrrrr...thankfully tina also sent me a handy 'virginia' magnet so i can keep my sewing room at a lovely warm temp! heehee!
i have some cute large emery boards... funny, i always like to have some at hand near by my machining corner. you must have known mine were needing replacing!! some yummy yummy dark chocolate with raspberry centre! ohhh to die for!!! (you know me completely!!!)
all of these great goodies came in a really lovely 'go green joann' bag!
funnily enough, these 'green' shopping bags are what i use for each different project i'm doing... i think they're great, just perfect for the job!! i 'sew' pleased i actually have a 'joann' bag to add to my collection!
wonderful!!!
all in all, i think i am one very lucky lady!!!!
you could say 'i'm fairly over the moon' with my package from tina!!!
thank you 'sew' much deary!!! i'm now off to have a 'play'!!!!
love and (((hugs))), jacquie xxxxxxx
