Sounds like a lot of fun. Count me in for February starting. I like the idea of each person adding a border of their choice. That would the beauty of trusting someone else's "eye for quilting". Having a journal accompany each piece, as it travels, would be so interesting.

i think what we would do is;
all the 'owner's' of the RR center's, send an agreed amount of fabric that they would like to be used throughout the rest of their borders, with their center.
then each person who makes the next border send a 'FQ' as well as what they use in their border from their stash. they won't lose out fabric wise, because everyone will be gaining in the same way. that way all the fabrics will 'tie in' throughout the quilt, and it won't become a 'mis-mash' of fabrics & colours.
does this sound ok?

The best of luck to those that participate. The RRs that I hosted and have been in each quilter had the option of sending fabric but quilters were not required to use it, they could supply their own choices. I love doing RRs and adding my needle turned applique but unfortunately I am unable to participate this time around because of business commitments.
I have hosted RRs and been a participant of one that another person hosted on QIAD over the years. Out of the three that I have been in I was very lucky to have gotten mine back but there have been some that have never gotten theirs.
I do not say this to discourage anyone but just to say that participants need to be responsible and consider the feelings of all those participating. If you are unable to finish your row then contacting your hostess or the owner should be the first step and then send it on, I am sure there would never be any hard feelings. I know I would rather have mine back with one less row than never at all.
May I suggest you exchange email addresses and if possible a phone number, of course that doesn't guarantee anything either.
Best of luck. Round Robins can be lots of fun and help expand your creativity.
I had to edit for spelling.

I'd love to do one, but I'm going to pass.
I did two on here, one I got back, and the other just disappeared, and I never got it back.

there seems to have been an awful lot of problems with previous 'RR's'
i'm wondering now if it would be more trouble than it's worth...
shame... but no point in starting them if they don't seem to get finished and reach their destination.
what do others think? i'd hate for people to be severely disappointed...

ok, although i started this thread, i've decided to join a 'row robin group'. so, i'm going to be tied up with them for next year, as far as 'robin's' go.
if people wish to carry on with this idea of doing a 'round robin' on QIAD, then by all means!
i unfortunately won't be able to join them.
maybe i've planted a small seed here! they are fun to do!!
love jacquie xxxxx
