need help with 5 easy pieces

Post by quilting-nanaof5 » Thu Aug 13, 2009 6:11 pm

I have cut out this pattern it is called "5 easy pieces by Lady Jane's Pattern Co. I stacked all five fabrics and cut them out. Then when i sew them back together like they said to do it comes out uneven. Does anyone know if it is supposed to do that? The lady that gave me the pattern had made many of them but she no longer works at the hospital so i can't ask her.
I will try and see if my daughter can download the pic. of the block i have done.

I believe they are supposed to come out uneven, you square them up to a size smaller than the sqs you started with, (1- 1 1/2 inches or more smaller) . The ones I've seen done this way can also be squared differently for each block (start the ruler in a different corner each time) for even more variety. Hope that helps.
