Oasis,
How did youknow how many of each type of geese to make (or are you guessing?) I'm in.

Sally -- The cutting instructions and information on the flying geese can be found at this thread: http://www.quiltinaday.com/community/to ... 53&forum=6
Each set of instructions will have its own topic so in theory, the surprise will still be there for those who want to be surprised.

My flying geese are all sewn. Just need to cut 12 with El's ruler. I hope we are done cutting as number one my arm is killing me! and number two, I am now out of the Color A fabric. How do you guys stop the ruler from sliding. I am using muscle power and the power is off!

Valerie - Invisigrip is the plastic stuff that clings to your rulers - QIAD usually has it, but it is not showing up as in stock right now. I'm pretty sure you can get it at JoAnns or Hancocks, it comes in a tube, plus I spelled it wrong in the first message

Linda & Sally, your geese look great!
I'm already behind...hopefully I'll get caught up to you ladies today.
WeSignificant, I use the Invisigrip on my rulers, but sometimes they still slide around so I put the little sandpaper dots on my long ruler (for cutting WOF strips) and it's worked great. I also bought the Gypsy Gripper to use when I'm cutting a lot. It works well too and it keeps your hands off the ruler in case of any rotary cutter slippage. I just saw on a blog where a quilter cut her finger tip really bad and had to get 7 stitches and then she did it again after it had healed, but this time they couldn't stitch it and she just had to bandage it. Ouch! So be careful everyone.

A mistake has been found in the directions. As written if you are using the QIAD Ruler for the flying geese, you'll come up 1/2" short of Color A.
I'm too tired to know for certain if this is a math error, or if I have you cutting one too many strips.
It is still possible to make the quilt as designed (and I wouldn't substitue another fabric for the geese with Color A skies). Fall back on the square/rectangle method for those 4 geeese.
I'll check my math tomorrow and revise whatever needs to be revised.
